Paper Mario 2 Questions

I am thinking about getting this game but I want to know something about how you play and what the story is.

Well if your a Mario fan then recommend getting this game.I

This game is an RPG type but it sure doesen't feel like one.

Story:

Well, im not going to tell you too much of the story becuase that would kind of ruin it but i can tell you...

Long ago, there was an acient city, but a dark evil force came and sank the city underground, but legend has it that there is an acient treasure behind the thousound-year door.

Peach is on vacation (again) but this time she isnt with toadsworth (finaly), she (or a shopkeeper) decides she wants to buy something. She buys this box, the shopkeeper says " Only one with a pure heart can opon it, as you can see, one such as my-self cannot opon it. Hold it in your hands and see if you can opon it ", Peach Holds it in her hands and then...

Meanwhile at marios house, they recive mail! Its from princess peach that reads "Mario, i have found some sort of map that leads to an acient treasure, meet me in rougeport", so mario sets sail to RougePort, RougePort is a dangerous place with lots of thiefs and gangs. Mario meets up with Gombella and thats the first parner you come across, when you press 'X' she can tell you were you are and give you hints and clues as what to do when your stuck.

Gombella looks at the treasure map and says "wow, a princess gave you this you say, this leeds to the thousend year door". Then to go to Proffesers Franklys house and he tells you all about it and now your quest begins...

Meanwhile, Mario never met with princess peach, they suspect shes gone on ahead herself for the treasure. However later on, you recive a mail from peach that she has been kidnapped (again), only this time she has been kidnapped by the evil X-Noats.

Now Bowser is on a rampage as he finds out that princess peach has been kidmapped, other by him "IF ANYONE KIDNAPS HER, IT SHOULD BE ME?!?".

However, it is said, to opon the thousund Year door, Crystal stars which are hidden troughout the land are requird to opon it.

So now, Bowser is on a rampage, the X-Nauts find out about the Crystal Stars, they hunt for them, Princess is worried that the others dont know shes been kidnapped and the quest Begins, for the Crystal star and the legendary treasure that lie's behind the thousund-year door.

Gameplay:

In this game, you dont just play as mario, you play as marios shadow, Bowser and princess Peach.

Playing as Mario is of-course the main role of the game. While playing as mario, there are special Abilities Mario can use such as Flying as a Paper Aeroplane, Turning into thin paper (altough he already is but it seems to me he just rotates 90 Degrees) or rolling up into a little tube. There are also more abilities mario can collect later on in the game. However, to gain such abilities, mario needs to get cursed by an evil spirit which funily enoguh, thinks they are curses.

Mario later on in the game finds other parners other than Gombella such as Koops. He joins you and your quest because he wants to proove to everyone he is a strong koopa. Press 'X' to toss his shell and reach far away items,. press and hold 'X' to hold his shell in position, whilst keeping hold of 'X', mario can still move and jump around, realese 'X' to pull back the shell. He also Meets Flurrie, flurrie used tp be an famus actress, she has been in her house for along time now and decides she wants to take a stroll outside however, she looses her necklace which was stolen buy the 'Shadow Sirens', for returning the necklace, Flurrie joins your team, press and hold 'X' to blow winds which can blow pages away and uncover new secrets and pasageways. She can also use her wind powers too stun enemies.

There are several Modes of play and several characters you can play with, When playying as bowser, hunt people down to get infomation and play the classic nes mario game only this time as bowser, large and in charge, breaking everysingle thing in your path, burning and squising enemis and knocking the flag pole out of your way.

Whilst playing a peach, you come across TEC, who is built to be the worlds best computer, you need to teach TEC several things such as love and how to dance, while playying as peach, you do a few mini games and send mario mail.

In the game, there are enemis everywere including the acient underground city that was sank by the evil force a thousend years ago. For some reason, it still has quite a bit of population (weird). When fighting an enemie, thats when the real RPG action starts, if you hit the enemy before going into the battle, u get a free turn at the start and the same goes for the foe. you can get a wide range of wepons and items to help you like a mushroom, shell schock, gale force, power smash and certain tactics like apeal, charge, defend, run away and swap your parner. Also you can do a gaurd action when an enemy is attacking you by pressing 'A', it requirs good timming to pull one off and if you do, you will decress the damage you take. Also the Battle stage has an audence, apeal, and do good moves to get a larger range of auidence and earn more star points. Do stylish moves to get even more star points when attacking. Also, when you collect Crystall stars (which are requird to opon the thousend year door) you gain a new special such as sweat treat, earth tremor etc. Also, the arena is hazerdas, with falling scenary, faling items from above and even the auidence attacking, but beware not to attack an auidance that will trow something that can help. Use badges to help you in battle such has happy heart (which replenishes 1hp slowly and automacticly) or close call (drop the dame by half 1/2 when in danger).

Overall:

Paper Mario is a fun, enjoyable RPG action packed game. With very funny jokes, mind twisting puzzles and with a classic Mario touch. I recommend buying this game if you are a Mario lover.
