Question for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Shein,
Your help is valusble to me, but why do you think I do not know of the final battle? I understand the time limit to escape and engage, but is it not also true that a save occurs after defeating the final Ing boss?

Yeah, once you beat Emperor Ing you'll absorb the last of Dark Aether's energy - this means that Dark Aether will be destroyed shortly; the game will automatically Save for you and the 8 minute countdown will begin. Get out of the Sky Temple and back down to the Sky Temple Grounds which coincidentally has Phazon blocking your exit (this battle is much easier than the one against Emperor Ing)...

Thanks again, Shein. Some of the walkthroughs do not mention the save, so there was a smidgeon of doubt in my mind. I think my greatest flaw in defeating the Emp 3 is avoiding him. He always seems to be crashing down on me. Any hints on avoiding this humiliation?

You're welcome; Emperor Ing usually makes a distinctive noise, backs up a bit or does a mini hop before he'll pounce or charge at you. Just be aware of those things to recognize his patterns and anticipate his movements so that you can get out of his way. You can try Morph Ball - that'll limit the damage, but if you're locked on to him, you can dodge him by jumping to the side. Let me know in the Forum for this game (http://forums.supercheats.com/forums.php?forum=633) your progress MKirkC - I wanna know when you kick his @$$!!!
