Ummm... I think you allready answered you question. If they are sucking you energy, then you don't need to be asking this question. But, if you are wonderin how to get them off, then you use a powerbomb to kill them, or a morph ball bomb to get them off.

Yes there metroids and the simplest way to get them of your helmet is by turning into the morth ball and use three bombs.
