I'm trying to upgrade my house to level 3, but it's not working... I have enough lumber and money and things, but once I try to pick a spot for it, it says that there is something in the way or that I don't own that land. By the way, I live at the river side.

You sure that nothing is in the way? A tree, your watering hole, and even your crops could be the problem. If you're absolutely sure that nothing is in the way, then go to the workshop and select "Relocate" You should be able to place your house in a better area. It might cost a bit (I don't know- I haven't relocated anything in a while) , but it should work out then.

Really? Same thing happened to me. I,m afraid you will have to buy new land from woody. Will take awhile to get money for level 3 after but it's worth it. By the way as you say it, I suggest getting the one in town and then getting rid of weeds and rocks. Warning: will seperate you from barn if you built one. Takes a longer walk. This is one of the 4 requirements for marrige. Ask me later to learn the other requirements. Hope that helps! Signed Josh Gavin

The same thing is happening to me.( I live on the river property)
I weeded all of the weeds,i cut down all of the trees,
And I did plant crops on the property,and all thats left is the tilled soil.

So I think it might be the tilled soil.

But how do you make the tilled part go away?

I think I might have to wait until winter,so I think thats what is going to happen :(

Alright, I got it working. It was the water hole thing. I moved it next to the river so ya, I upgraded.

Tilled soil can be taken away by putting a rock on it. :P

Don't relocate!!! You probably have to move yor well, I live in the same place as you & thats all I had to do

Make sure that there is no watering hole/well/etc.. In the way. If it is, destroy it or move it
