Saving Lumber

You can't drop wood into the holder, you can only take it out. I learned this the hard way, took out all the lumber I could place on my property for a fence and had about 20 left overs, needless to say they were wasted in a matter of seasons. So I suggest being careful around the lumber holder, since you will need lumber for this game.

Use your axe and cut a brach it will automatically go to box , when need it just go over and press a when building something woody will take wood out.

You just have to hit the log/branches with your axe and when it disappears, it automatically goes to your box. To check, go to the start menu and on the farm tab it tells you how much lumber you have. You can also buy it from Hank, but it's really expensive at 50G a piece.

I had the same problem, I choopped it, it just dropped lumber on the floor, nd it wasnt in my shed, so I picked it up and sold it :c

There saying whe you chop a tree with your ax it will fall to the floor then you have to chop the branches with you ax and they will vanish (they will be going into your lumber box) you can also walk around and find branches on the ground and also chop them. When you hit menu and go t farm it will tell you how much wood you have
