Question for Harvest Moon: A wonderful life

What's with the Wierd Hoe and Strange Sickle and stuff like that? The strange tools in their description say: "Very heavy, but..."
So how are they special? What can they do?
What are some hybrids you can make with Tartan? Whenever I give him something, he just says "Not so exciting" but if I give him seeds and a flower, and I look at it in the rucksack view, it shows a green symbol next to the name. What does that mean?
That's all I have for now.

1.I think that the wierd objects never make you tired
2.Try mixing a banana and a peach, an orange and a peach, those each make something then mix both of the new crops together

I can only answer your first question, if you go to your garden with your wierd hoe it will hoe nine patches of soil. With the watering can on the bottom to the far left,it will water nine patches of soil. I don't know about the weird stuff ,but the strange sickle cuts nine patches of grass at a time.I never use the weird stuff because the strange is better.

I hope I helped!

I can answer your last question. If you give him an upseed with a crop it's rank goes up one. If you give him a gemsoil with a crop it can be planted in all the soils.(this really helps on third generation crops) If you give him a happy lamp with a crop you can plant it in all the seasons. All these effects expire if you put them in the seed maker or after you plant and harvest them. But if you upgrade them they sell for a higher price.

hope I helped,
Hotshot

Either the strange hoe or weird hoe till 4 sqares of land instead of 1.Dont know about the other question though...

brittonysue answered:

I do not know the answer to your first question but when you add a flower to your seed whatever season the flower was in, your crop can now be grown in. Like if you put an happy lamp (summer plant) with a sweet potato. The sweet potato can now be planted in summer and fall. If you get a happy lamp, gemsoil, and an upseed. You can upgrade your seeds to S. They can also be planted in any season.

MiniGauntlet answered:

Weird and strange objects are just worse variations of normal ones. For example, the strange watering can will only hold one square of water at a time. The strange sickle takes twice as much energy as the heavey sickle.

WhiteXWolf answered:

1. There heavier, therefore letting you have much more stamina every time you use them, so you can cut/water and basiclly do everything else without getting tired as often.
2. I have not yet experimented with him, so Im not sure. ^_^
3. Green symbol? Weird. I think that means he inspectd it or you can't give it to him, but don't qoute me on that!

Guest answered:

The weird hoe makes carrots grow faster and the strange hoe makes grape trees grow faster
