Question for Animal Crossing

Is there an easier way to get rid of weeds instead of having to pull them up one by one? Are weeds even important? I mean, do they make the town look bad? Please help!

1 if you wan't to get rid of all the weeds at once wait till 12:00 and walk around the town and till you run into a invisable ghost and he will become visable and he will ask you to catch 5 spirits warning you need a net then catch them and the he will ask you what do you wan't in return and you can select get rid of the weeds and the next day they will be gone
2 yes they make your town look bad

Yes weeds matter. If you are looking to get a perfect rating by the Well you must have NO weeds. Wander around the town at midnight (12:00am), soon enough you will find a ghost. He will ask you to find some of his little ghost. If you find them all, he will vanish all of the weeds in your town.

If you pull the weeds up the just come back you have to dig them up with the shovel. It is up to you to get rid of them or not it does not make a difference. In my opinion it will make the town look cleaner
