Question for Animal Crossing

I am not sure how I should use the cheats for animal crossing. I printed off all of the cheats posted on this website for the game, followed the instructions, but nothing happened. Could somebody give me detailed instructions???

Ok.
First, talk to Nook.
Second, select "other things".
Third, select "say code".
Then, put in the code and it should work.

If it does NOT work, check how you typed in the code. If it was correct, then check the code with other posts for it. Sometimes, Nook may flip out and say "You can't use someone else's code!"--this means someone posted a code for a specific player, rather than a universal code. So just scratch it off your list and keep hunting for the REAL code!

2.On the options he gives you go to "other things"
3.Go to say code
4.Enter your code
5.Wul-lah
