Kill the roaches, they usually come into your house when you haven't played in awhile, so I suggest playing more often

1st you only have roaches because you dont go in your house enough or that you got new stuff wich will have bugs in it just walk over them and after a while they will stop coming.

2nd a few quick things you can do is 1st get a password for an object (doesnt matter wich one) then sell it to nook you wil get about 12,000 bells for each one.

2nd is that on january 1 your parents will give you 10,000 bells in the begining when the animal asks ready to go say 'before I go' 'other things' and 'set clock' set it for january 1st get money then save and restart the game and do the above again 3 times and you will have 30,000 bells

To stop roaches keepaway rotted objects or use a net to catch them [then sell donate or release out side].

One way to make fast money is to fish at the beach and try to catch snappers, or knife jaws.

Just move your furniture from time to time, that will reaveal any roaches under your furniture.
