Yes. JUst most of the letters the other animals don't understand. That is why they get upset. Try writing short letters like 'Dear ____, I hope you are having a good day today. See you soon!' or something like that. Don't use long words or they will really get upset by saying that you know bigger words than they do. So talk to them like you would talk to a 1st grader.

The game isn't programmed to understand everything you write to a person, so any time you mail anyone anything they will either be happy about it, or not know what they say.
