Question for Animal Crossing

I have two questions. One is that if any villagers move away from my town, will they come back? My other question is why do villagers move away when you visit another town.

The villagers just do that so you can get other animals to move in. It's just a part of the game. And it is randomly chosen who leaves.

I can answer the first, yes it is possible to get the same villager twice

Boometh answered:

1. They can come back, however it will be as if you are meeting them all over again.

2. Dunno about this one..

If you have two memory cards in the gc or wii, it is more likely that they will only move to the town in the other game card and at that time, they won't forget you and if you want them back in your town, then write letters and give them shirts... Btw, I've had two olivias in my town at once... I personally think that the game should program it so that even when they move, they should remember you if they ever come back...
