Route 99 how do I get passed the hammer in zone 3. I got the game without the book.

It's pretty easy. Use tails as the leader and sonic as your partner. Then watch out! He's going to slam on you. After he hits the ground attack him with your tail. Keep doing this until he gets destroyed.
