How do you restart the tiny choa garden

The only thing I can think of is by leaving your chao (have tiny chao garden open and leave it idle) and it will eventually run away but you will still have your rings, items ect.

A much better way is to transfer everything to sonic adventure 2 battle though the gba to gamecube cable
