To get another chao you have to get your chaos belly monitor down to zero then wait for about 10 minutes or so and he will go away then you'll get that egg thing if you havent allready got it and just rub it and it will hatch into another chao, and I don't think you can swim or fly but I don't know I havent played the game for a while.

I don't know about the more than one choa thing but you cant swim or fly,on the game if you play as tails and you have a big level on fly and/or swim (mine is 45 for both) you'll fly and/or swim longer.
