Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team

I have 4 questions:
1) How do you get the friend area for the legendary birds?
2) How hard is it to recruit the legendary birds?
3) Is this a good double team:
CHARIZARD (Leader) lvl 44 who has 9 IQ stars and is holding a friend bow
CHARIZARD'S moves are:
Ember+2
Slash+4
Flamethrower+10
Attract

And my Second Pokemon is:
BLASTOISE lvl 37 who has 5 IQ stars and is holding a pecha-scarf
BLASTOISE'S moves are:
Bubble
Water gun
Bite
Dive

4) Would my team be good enough to defeat and recruit the legendary birds
P.S- I have only just compled this game about 10 minutes ago

1. For legendary Pokemon, their Friend Areas are automatically added if/when you recruit them.

2. I'm not sure. I'm guessing that the birds get harder to beat the farther in the game you are.

3. Is that the best you could do with Blastoise? Try to see if you can find a mission code that rewards you with Hydro Pump or Water Pulse, or something.

4. Defeat, most likely. Recruit, I don't know.
