[Sighs] Ok guys and gals I really need your help. I can't really pick a good team. Every time I get my starter and partner, I always get pwned by one of the bosses. I mean like if I start with Mudkip who is supposedly the best starter, I get pwned by Zapdos over and over again. Can you help me think of a good starter and partner? Like maybe the one you beat the game with or something.

ANSWERS

I reccomend Torchic as main and Squirtle as partner. Because you can't evolve until you beat the game, these guys are good because Squirtle has high defense stats while torchic has good offense. Cubone with Pikachu is also good too, they can get through Magma Cavern very well for it being such a hard level for no evolved poke`mon.

And Mudkip is actually one of the worst starters. After level 10, you mainly have to rely on TMs to get good moves. Squirtle is way better for being a water poke`mon.

Um legend man... By "beat the game" you mean done all 9 extra stuff after killin Raquaza and waiting through the credits... RIGHT??? Cause you can't do everything in 1 day. About 3 new dungeons (need unlocking) have 99 floors and turns you back to lv1 (I suggest Charizard, just in case... Well, heat wave kills a monsta house nicely). Also, you MUST get all the legendary Pokemon recruited! You must also get every single Pokemon in the game and after recruiting, just get them in a cave. Now this... You might need a guide book for.

*shrugs* Sorry, I don't know a good combo, but you probably gotten beaten by Zapdos over and over again because thunder is good against water. My team is cubone and torchic, now a marowak and a combusken, it took me a while to take down Zapdos. O_O

I became a Pikachu and chose my partner as a Chickorita and I did the game pretty well.
