WHOAZ!

Yer, hi I'm in Magma Cavern, and I run into two gravelers one used magnintude 9 and the first graveler died, an I went to 17 out of 123 hp but heres the wierd part I waz Blastoise and my Torrent ability kicked in and I used bubble and the damage amount above gravelers head was in red and it said "999+" and in the message box it said "Graveler took 1634 DAMAGE!!!!"
And what really ticks me off is that I'm only Level 51!!!

Every Pokemon has one weak side. Gravelers weak side is water, you used bubble on graveler and he took 1634 damage. It says 999 because it don't go higher. I used flamethrower on a grass Pokemon and I took 1523 and I was lvl 41. Write back if you don't understand //yamakasi

You have high level (comparing to Pokemon in that dungeon), plus the type match-up and your ability allows such high damage. There are some people boosting their Pokemon power to the point that it can deal the maximum of over 9000 damage.
