How do you beat the plat boss thingy?

Someone please help me:( !

When the battle starts, jump on the tall platform. The Chozo-plantlike thing will fire the Plasma Beam at you. Keep firing Missles at it as quickly at you can. When it fires at your head, duck down. When it fires at your feet, jump up. Keep firing Missles at all times. When the little yellow things are about to hit you (the things that the flowers keep excreting), roll into Morph Ball and drop a Power Bomb. Do this over and over until the Chozo morphs into a Core X. Bust it up and claim the Plasma Beam.
