Question for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel

I am in 3rd ACDC, 4th square with the Navi in the center pressing a but nothing is happening. What do I do?

When you are going towards the top of the screen, turn left into the very first little square thingy and go to the top of that and press A in the center.
