When I play the game, I try to save my game, but when I play later, my save game is not there. HOW DO I SAVE?!?

You can either save in your house by clicking on the little book near your bed (diary), or if you can scroll through the lists (rucksack, maps, inventories etc) the first picture is your diary as well. Pick a save slot and it will ask if you want to re-write.... Say yes, and it's done. You can turn off your game at this point.
