Why can't I marry Cliff?

I have him at red heart(Actually he's been like that for over a year.) I have everything I need, big bed, kitchen, fridge, etc. But when I purpose to him he always says no. How can I get him to say yes?

You have to have activated all four of the heart events. This is required for you to marry all of the bachelors. The heart events occur at the black, purple, blue, and yellow hearts. You can activate them at OR above the required heart colors. The heart events go as follows:

Black Heart
Go into the Mineral Church on Tuesday or Thursday between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Carter welcomes you and asks that you listen to his request. He says that the person sitting to the left is Cliff and he's had a bad year. Carter is asking that you talk to Cliff to help cheer him up. Cliff is new to Mineral Town too, just like you are. Cliff isn't a very talkative person. Walk up to Cliff and he'll introduce himself. Carter's right, he does seem very sad! Cliff can't figure out why you're talking to him and asks if he has something on his face. He learns you're just trying to cheer him up, so he apologizes for seeming so tense. Tell him to Relax and he'll cheer up a little bit. Cliff says he's looking forward to talking to you again.

Purple Heart
This one can be tough to find at the Church if it's before you've seen the Fall Wine Harvest event. If it's before, you can see this on Monday, Wednesdays, or any rainy day at exactly 4:00 pm. If it's after the Wine event then you can see this from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. When you walk into the Church, Carter and Cliff will be inside. Carter says he's been talking to Cliff about having dinner at the Church and Cliff asks if you would like to dine together with them. You automatically agree. Carter says Ann will be bringing dinner by later, but in the meantime he would like the place cleaned up a little bit. Suddenly Carter says he hears someone who needs his guidance from the Confessional booth. He goes to the booth and leaves you and Cliff alone together! Cliff is a little baffled, but asks if you would help him since Carter left. Tell him you will (option 2) and the two of you will get to work. Carter will return once the cleaning is finished. He thanks the two of you for working on the meal. Now you all can enjoy it together. You'll exit the Church at 7:00 pm.

Blue Heart
You must own the largest Rucksack to see this event. You can trigger this event by walking from Town screen north of your farm towards the Town screen where the Winery is located. The days are Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. This event can only occur after you have invited Cliff to the Fall Wine Harvest event. You'll find Duke and Cliff talking together. Their work is done for the day, at least in Duke's opinion. Cliff is more than willing to continue working, but Duke tells him Manna worries about him working so much. Duke will spot you walking by and ask to come over. He then suggests to Cliff that he take you up to Mother's Hill! Cliff stutters and says he has to keep working, but Duke boots him out of the vineyard. At the top of Mother's Hill, Cliff apologizes for Duke's behavior. He enjoys the lifestyle of the town and says he really enjoys helping others. Cliff asks if you like working on your farm and you can tell him you like it (option 1) or you don't like it. He is glad to hear you too like to work and he enjoys working in the winery. Cliff then give you a Flower Decoration that he had created.

Yellow Heart
Walk into the Winery's house on Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Inside you'll find Duke and Manna gossiping to each other. Duke is wondering if Manna doesn't care about Cliff, but Manna scolds him and says she does care, but she doesn't overly worry about him. It is none of their business what "they" do. The two of them will then notice that you've walked in. They both greet you and Duke wants to ask a question. Manna tells him to mind his own business but Duke doesn't understand what's so bad about worrying for his family? Duke then asks you what you think Cliff's bad parts are. You can reply that he thinks too much (option 1) or nothing strikes you as being bad. Duke and Manna are glad that you do understand him well to see that he does have his faults. Cliff walks in and tells them that he's done with the day's work. Duke then explains that you've come to have dinner with him! Cliff is glad to hear that and the two of you head to the Inn for a meal. Cliff walks you home that evening and thanks you for dining with him.

It was also happened to me. But I don't know if we got the same case.
Mine: I tried to make all the bachelors at red heart and I was successful to the doctor and cliff. By the way my purpose of doing so is to explore events by those bachelors. What was happened was when I propose to cliff to marry me he refused. I found out why does it happened because I made the doctor at red heart first before cliff. Therefore the first bachelor goes to red heart will be the guy for you to marry. You cannot do anything about it. So careful in giving stuff to the bachelors.

Have you reached your 4th year?

Well... I've read an article (but not so sure) that you can onl marry a guy after/during fourth year so you can choose carefully who you can marry

I recommend checking to see if you missed a heart event (yes, it's possible). If that's the case, then you need to work to bring the heart bachelor you want to marry back down from red to whatever color heart event you might have missed, and then back up to red again before proposing.

Cliff's heart is already red and its already 4th year why i cant marry cliff?

YOU CAN'T MARRY CLIFF UNTIL YOU WITNESS ALL THE 4 HEART EVENTS. IF YOU WITNESSED ALL THE 4 HEART EVENTS, YOU STILL CANNOT MARRY CLIFF. THERE'S ONE LAST EVENT WHEN HE FAINTS AT THE ROSE SQUARE. THEN GIVE HIM THE PICTURE WHEN HE IS ON THE CLINIC BED. HOPE THIS HELPED. :D

You can marry Cliff if you witnessed all the four Heart Events--Black, Purple, Blue and Yellow then finally, the Event when he Faints at the Rose Square. It should be Winter and it should be snowing. And then give him the Family Picture that fell next to him in the Clinic. When he gets checked out of the Clinic, You can propose to Cliff. If you witnessed that event already, You may have missed one of the Heart Events.

I already proposed to cliff but he keeps saying, I'm excited and stuff blah blah blah. But when will the wedding happen.

I think you have to witness all heart events and then he will say yes! But how do you go to the wedding? Well first you go to the church everyday to find out but if nothing happens you should give cliff the blue feather again if he says no he said the exciting thing because he gqave you a ring thats all

I have gotten everything I need for my house. And Cliff still is not saying yes to me...I think I miss a heart event (the purple heart event) does this mean that Cliff wont ever except my marriage proposal?

You should see all the heart events

Why do you can't propose to cliff???the important heart event is the blue because cliff give you a sweet gift from him so don't mess the blue heart event. <(")

-Everything from the TV Shopping Network
-Cliff at a red heart
-The blue feather

You need to see all the heart events,have all furniture,blue feather,Red heart to marry someone.after 60 days you will be pregnant in the game and after maybe 2 months you will have a baby (I don't really know if you marry Cliff and it's different to my answer because I'm married to Gray.)Hope it "Helped" p.s. If it's after year 4, then he's married to Ann already.

To know when you're going to marry a bachelor you just check your calender when he has said yes to your proposoal. It's the date with marked with a heart <3
To enter the wedding you just go into the church the day f the wedding.

Im already in the year 4 of the game harvest moon more friends of mineral town but right now still why I can't marry cliff? He always says I'm happy you like me..but sorry...

Wat you need to do is to complete all the heart events and thats when the heart turns red immediately propose hoped I help

Hi I'm playing harvest moon it's my 6th year I just realized you could get married cliff still works at the winery and I never had to go to the church and say and that stuff to get to the purple heart because I gave him curry rice or other foods or only 2 weeks in the game and he was a purple heart so what do I do?

Im on red heart event .. Im done in 4 events .. What are you talking about Cliff when he faints? What year is that ? What EVent in that month ?
