Codes, Puppies, and Money

Hello. I keep hearing about submitting codes to activate cheats on Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral town. I know what the codes are but how do I submit them? Do I need to be connected to GameCube? Also, I would like to know how long it takes for the puppies to come. What do I have to do to get them? Finally, I want to buy the Vacation House but can't make enough money. I would appreciate it if you would answer these questions as quickly as possible, please! Thank you.

1. To activate codes you need a Gameshark I'm not sure how to do it exactly, because I only have experience with Action Replay.
2. Sorry to disappoint you, but the puppies are not real it's just something people made up. If you want to try though become really good friends with Barley and May and one day show your dog to both of them and Barley will ask to borrow your dog, and one day he'll bring you a puppy.
3. Well I don't know what to tell you about not having enough money, but if you connect the Another Wonderful Life with your game a couple of times and you have all the connect stars you will get the beach house.
