Question for Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones

I still havent figured out how to use the gameshark but when I'm typing in my codes do I need to put in that first position thing and y do people type it over again accept it's like 2ndposition 3rd position etc?

Yeah, first position thing. Programs need very stringent instructions, they're pretty dumb see. Think of it this way: if you asked a person to get you a drink of water, logic would say to get a cup out of the cupboard, put the cup on the table, etc... But a computer doesn't have "logic" so to speak, it needs to be told everything step by tedious step.
