No hes useless but if you have unlocked hector mode train him to level 7 at least by the end of lyns adventure then at chapter 18 hector mode beat uhai before turn 18 I think then you will enter 18x kill kishuna before you kill aion and you should enter 18xx thats about the most usefull thing nills is for but ninian is much much better check out the hints section for the reason why
