Weapon level up

My seth has a level A sword rating on the edge like he will weapon level up in one battle but he won't do I have to use a level A weapon to weapon level him up and if so can you name some level A swords so I will know what to use?

Maybe seth has a S rank on other weapon skill(maybe in lance skill); if that is true, you can�t get another S rank in other weapon skill
