Just south of Gnarled root dungeon is a hidden room (only accessible during summer) where a man in a golden cloak lives. He will help you increase your offensive power if you can slay the four golden beasts and they are to be found:

(Before I start I would like to tell you all that I won't be using any co-ordinate system on he map as it might differ from player to player)

Golden Darknut: Find him on the beach west of Horon village. He'll appear during spring.

Golden Moblin: Find this shining guy just outside Snake's remains during autumn.

Golden Octorok: He appears in the south-west area of Spool swamp during summer.

Golden Lyonell: He thrives in the area to the north of the entrance to Tarm ruins during winter.

Defeat them all and you'll get something nice from him. He then disappears.

Lots of people ask me how to get different animal friends in the game so I'm going to tell it here and now:

Ricky the kangooro: You will get this guy buy playing the game the normal way. If you don't get any strange flutes, then this guy will be your partner.

Dimitri the dodongo: Get the strange flute from Subrosia dance hall by winning lots of times. This one is pretty hard. Of course you have to do it before meeting Ricky

Moosh the bear(?): Bring 150 rupees to the store in Horon village after finishing level 2. If you buy this flute you can get the flying bear as a partner

If at the stump nearest to level one, you change the season to summer, you go to the level one screen, go down a screen and enter the cave that appeared. There is an old man in it that tells you if you beat the four golden beasts that each appear in four different spots in a different season, he will give you tremondous power. I only remember where two of the beasts appear and only one of their seasons. The first one appears in the level two screen in spring or autumn. The second appears in the screen to the right of hero's cave. For the one near hero's cave I know this much, it won't show up in winter.

You're gonna need a level 2 or 3 shield.

When you see maples shadow, use your shield and make sure maple hits the shield.

You will get more rare items and you won't lose that many hearts.

When your at the 2nd dungeon and your in the room with th key when you go up the halland you have to push the block to get the chest.

Right when that happens run right ontop of where it would appear and yu should be on top of the chest.
