In Pokemon yellow, you can catch an Abra on Route 5, Route 6, Route 7, and Route 8.
You can also get one as a prize at the Rocket Game Corner in Celadon City.
It takes 180 Coins, and can be traded for at the Left window.
abra the psi pokemon using it`s ability to read minds, it will identify impending danger and teleport to safety. It sleeps 18 hours a day.

kadabra evolves while trading into alakazam
you can find abra at route 5,6,7,8, celadon city game corner (230)
you can get an Abra by going to the game corner at celadon city and get 250 game tokens.( here is a tip , just by tokens so you wont have to spend hours just to get a few coins. P.S. The coin case is at the restaurant in Celadon city and the restaurant is south of the game corner.
In red and blue you could find one on rout 24, I'm not sure about yellow.
You get them in cerulean city on route 24. They are tricky to catch because the only move they know is teleport
Abra can be found on route 5,6,7,8. He can also be bought at the game corner. I don't think he can be found on route 24.
In Yellow, try catch a Bellsprout at Route 24, train it to get "wrap", then, go to route 5, use wrap on abra to weaken it and at the same time disable it's attacks, and use a pokeball.. Worked for me..
Go to route 5 (near Cerulean city) after training Pikachu. Teach it thunder wave and use it on Abra. It should work...
