Pokemon: Special Pikachu Edition-Card Key in Saffron City

I got the card key in Saffron City, in Silph Company, but I can't get it to work on any of the doors. How do I open the doors inside of Silph Company building with the key?

Though It has been a long time since I have played my Pokemon Yellow, I do not remember having any trouble opening the doors at Silph. Are you Trying to use the card key, or were you checking the doors? If I recall, you need to examine the doors while having the Card Key in your bag. If it still doesn't work, double-chack to be sure you didn't store away the card key in the PC (I doubt that is the case, however).

Thanks for the help but I do have the card key and i'll walk up to the door and it doesn't work, I even click to use it and the professor tells me that that is not the time to use it. If that's not the time when is it! Lol
