Question for Pokemon Gold

I have got 7 badges but I can't get the one in blackthorn city because the trainers are not there. I can't get into the cave either that they at training in. Can anybody tell me how to get into the cave or how to get into the gym. Also how do you get into johto or whatever the other world is called.

All you do is go Goldenrod City's Radio Tower. Beat Team Rocket and you will get a Basement Key.

Go to the Underground and battle your way to the director. You'll get another key, Card Key.

Go back to Radio Tower and beat the rest of the trainers.

Then the gym in Blackthorn will become open, as will the cave.

The cave only opens after you defeat the gym leader in Blackthorn.

If you want to start out in Kanto, go to your hometown and surf in the water to the east. Head into the cave and use your newly earned waterfall HM to get past the waterfall in the cave.

Because Clair outright REFUSES to give you the Rising Badge unless if you go through a second test which is completely optional but Clair being Clair, you NEED to go through it
