How to beat Brock in a few easy steps
<BR>
<BR>
This is practally the only way to beat Brock without trading from off your other games. Trust me, I beat Brock in two minutes with this.
<BR>
<BR>
1.) After getting your Pokedex, buying Pokeballs, ect., go to the Viridian Forest.
<BR>
2.) Capture a Caterpie or Metapod and train it until it evolves into Butterfree.
<BR>
3.) Train Butterfree until Level 15 or so.
<BR>
<BR>
It should know Confusion and a few powder techniques by then, so go beat Brock! Good luck ^_^!

I beat Brock easly using PIKACHU'S Quick attack
he was on level 19 get PIKACHU to level 18-19-20

I got
Nidoran Male and Female LV.15
Butterfree LV.15
Pikachu LV.20
Beedrill LV.15
Raticate LV.17

I won in around 20 secounds! :0 Icouldn't belive he was once my worst nightmare!

my butterfree kept using harden until brocks pokemon couldnt even hurt me. Then i used confusion until i won hich was 5 seconds later.

I got my Butterfree to Lv10 and with Confusion it simply kills Geodude in 2 hit, 4 to beat Onix.
2nd choice is Lv8-12 Mankey and 3rd Nidoran M or F till Lv8 then pwn with Double Kick and 2 Potions.

Just catch a mankey and level it up to 15 and you'll win no problem. That's how I beat brock every time. Usually don't even need to use a single potion.

I used several of my Pidgey's Sand attacks to help me win. Against Onix, it really helped. It took a while to beat Brock's Onix, but that was due to no moves doing 1* damage. Sand Attack made Onix miss every time, and Pidgey just attacked it until it fainted!!

or train pikachu till it has megapunch and is too high a level to fail

Wrong!!! get a nidoran (boy or girl) and train it untill like level 8. then it will learn double kick which will destroy broks rock pokemon
