I don't think you need to trade Pokemon that evolve when you trade them, because my friend told me that his Kadabra evolved into Alakazam at level 53 or 58, or somewhere around there.

NOTE: I am not totally sure that this is true, and Haunter dosen't evole with happiness. You have to trade it for it to evolve.
