Introduction

Fable 2 is the long awaited sequel to Fable which was released on the original xbox. It takes place a few hundred years after the events of the original Fable and your character is a direct decedent of the original hero in fale. It also takes place in the same fictional world Albion.

Graphics

The graphics are great, not as photo realistic as some games however they fin in well with the feel of the game. There are stunning environments and some truly wonderful characters and enemies. For example the temples of light and dark put any real life architecture to shame.

Sound

The soundtrack in good and fits in well with the game and usually changes at the right points in the game. The voice acting is good for the most part however due the the game having a tendency to lag a bit especially at the more demanding point like in combat it can cause you to be able to hear some enemies talking after you have killed them.

Gameplay

The gameplay is the best part of Fable 2 and is definitely where the game really shines when it comes to combat. The combat is easy to master regardless of your ability level however there is some depth to it for the more experienced gamer. There are also numerous ways to travel now and the ability to buy almost every property in the game is a nice features especially since you earn rent from these properties even when you are offline.

Lastability

Fable falls a bit here though not much. The game can be completed in just a few days story wise. However there are plenty of things to do once you have finished the story and lots of side quests and free form quests to help you get better equipment and advance your character. Also there are 3 different endings which does add some replay value to the game.

Overall

Overall a good all round game. It is not perfect and does suffer with loading times and lag even after you install it to your hard drive however these are easily overlooked when you look at the whole game. It is very enjoyable and thanks to getting rent whilst you are offline there are advantages to picking it up and playing it again after a few months of completing it.
