Crackdown 3 Walkthrough and Guide

Crackdown 3 is an open world action-adventure video game that continues the series 9 years after the release of 2010's Xbox 360 video game Crackdown 2. You play as a super-powered member of The Agency who is tasked with tearing through a corporate controlled futuristic city to dispense justice and restore order as you bring down a ruthless criminal empire. At your disposal is cutting-edge equipment and granted permission to choose the means by which the most dangerous criminals are to be eliminated.

Agility Orbs

Make sure you collect the Agility Orbs whenever you see them as they are needed to level up your agility and jump height. Once you reach Level 3 Agility you will discover that it becomes very difficult to rank up and you will need all the help you can get if you want to scale the final tower.

Hidden Orbs

Always keep an eye out for Hidden Orbs as they allow you to quickly bolster a category you may be lacking. Hidden Orbs tend to be found in fairly predictable areas and are indicated by blue rays of light. For skills like Driving and Strength that are difficult to level up in tandem with Explosions and Agility, Hidden Orbs are your means to make up the difference.

Civilian Militia

Don't forget to scale the propaganda towers and rescue the prisoners found in the hardpoints on the map so they join your cause, you will need their help as backup in the later stages when you go up against some of the tougher bosses on the map.

Find Gadgets

Always keep an eye out for gadgets, whether it's the standard frag grenades or chemical charges that poison foes in a designated area, these gizmos will make it easier for you to wipe out gangs in quick succession. You start the game with no gadgets and slowly build up your arsenal as you find them. Gadgets will be indicated on the map by a grenade icon and once you have picked them up they will remain in your arsenal permanently.

Dropped Enemy Weapons

Make it a habit to pick up the weapons dropped by the enemies you kill so you add them to your inventory. Regardless if it is a machine pistol or a rocket launcher having different types of weapons available will ensure you are ready for any situation.

Get Best Weapons Early

Try to pick up the best weapons as early in the game as possible as doing so will make the more dangerous parts of the map easier to get through. Check out our How to get the Best Weapons Early page to learn how to get the Mass Driver, Homing Rocket, and Decimator at the start of the game.

Unlock Agency Car

Try to get your driving skill to Level 1 as soon as possible as doing so will unlock the Agency Car which you will be able to summon with the D-Pad and use to reach different areas of the map faster and easier.

Getting Past Blockades

Car jack an enemy vehicle that has mounted weaponry when you are faced with a blockade that is sealing off an area you want to enter and use it to ram though the barrier.
