Radiation in Lethal Company Explained

Despite the 'increased levels of radiation' warnings that are flashing on your helmet when you take the Apparatice in Lethal Company, radiation doesn't have any real impact or consequences in the game. This Radiation in Lethal Company Explained guide will tell you everything you need to know.

  • What is Apparatice

Apparatice is a scrap item in Lethal Company that is a battery which when removed from the machine in the facility that houses it a worrying message will appear on your screen warning you that the radiation level is increasing. Lights within the Facility will also begin to flicker which will then be followed by power to the building shutting off permanently.

This will cause all the lights to shut off and all secure doors around the facility to open and not be closed again even via the ship console. There is also a 70% chance that two random enemies will spawn and begin to hunt you down.

Your main concern now is getting the Apparatice back to your ship. Do not worry about the red alert warning about 'increased levels of radiation flashing on your helmet as radiation in Lethal Company is harmless and will not affect your character's safety in any way.

It is important to remember that once the Apparatice has been removed you will not be able to reattach it back into the wall which makes things more challenging after acquiring it as you will be navigating in the dark. The value of Apparatice is 80 credits and is the highest-value piece of scrap that you will find in the Facility.

  • How to Escape the Facility

Once you have pulled out the Apparatice, which is the power source of the whole building from the wall you will need to escape to your ship in darkness with all the doors stuck open and potentially two enemies hunting you down.

The easiest way to overcome this challenge is by having the Pro-Flashlight and a member of your crew sitting on the ship giving you directions through the Walkie-Talkie.
