How to Remove Miasma in Fae Farm

In order to access more areas of the Fae Realm and also some new buildings for your homestead you must first remove Miasma. Take a look at our How to Remove Miasma in Fae Farm guide to see how you get rid of this green toxic mist.

  • Complete the 'The Floating Ruins' Dungeon

The second dungeon in Fae Farm is 'The Floating Ruins'. This dungeon has 25 floors, each filled with progressively tougher Jumbles, the enemies that guard the loot that becomes more lucrative the further you advance. Aside from loot, you will also be able to pick up valuable resources for crafting as you fight your way through the dungeon.

  • Encounter Bolthal

You cannot use the Vortex Spell to remove the Miasma like you did the Shade Clouds near your homestead. The Miasma is more powerful and requires magical assistance to disperse it. The first thing you need to do is reach the bottom of the 'Floating Ruins' dungeon so you encounter a Sprite called Bolthal who you discover is the producer of the Miasma.

  • Bolthal

  • Complete the 'Sour but Sweet' Quest

To make the Miasma disappear in the overworld so that life returns to the Elven Village you need to prepare Bolthal a special meal. To create this meal you will need to gather the following ingredients:

    - 3 Fae Dust

    - 15 Clover Feed

    - 5 Spore Essence

    - 10 Violet Jellycaps

    - 5 Polished Emerald

All of the ingredients required for Bothal's meal are obtained in various ways, they are listed below.

  • Fae Dust

    - Catch any variety of Sprite or Fairy critter in the Elven Village.

    - Deposit them into the Fae Critter Conservatory.

    - Receive the Fae Dust in exchange at a rate of 1:1.

  • Clover Feed

Found in abundance in the Elven Village. Use the Sickle to harvest the fodder-like plant.

  • Spore Essence

    - Upgrade to a Feyrite Sickle.

    - Enter the Floating Ruins and find Sporeweed.

    - Use the Potion Ingredient Station to convert Sporeweed into Spore Essence.

    - Receive the Spore Essence at a rate of 4:1.

  • Violet Jellycaps

Found in abundance in the Elven Village. Look out for a bunch of tall, slim mushrooms that are a vibrant purple in color.

  • Polished Emerald

    - Upgrade to a Feyrite Pickax.

    - Enter the Floating Ruins and find Rough Emerald.

    - Use the Gem Polisher to convert Rough Emerald into Polished Emerald.

    - Receive the Polished Emerald at a rate of 10:1.

  • How to get the Fae Critter Conservatory, Potion Ingredient Station, and Gem Polisher

Getting some of the above ingredients to complete the recipe for Bolthal's meal may require entering Build Mode to add the Fae Critter Conservatory, Potion Ingredient Station, and Gem Polisher to your homestead if you don't already have them. You can do this by pressing down on the D-pad of your Nintendo Switch controller to enter Build Mode and down again to select what you want to construct from the 'Crafting' section of the 'Build Catalog'.

Once Bothal has his special meal the Miasma will be cleared which will result in many Elven Village residents returning home. Keep in mind that not all the Miasma will disappear, the Miasma on the overworld will be removed forever but it will remain a permanent threat in the 'Floating Ruins'. You will still need to make a Fairbreath Potion if you want to continue exploring that dungeon.
