Strongest Sun and Moon Pokemon
Minior
Much like Passimian, Minior might not be a Pokemon that many fans call to mind when thinking about the best Pokemon of Alola. But after looking over all of its stats and using it for ourselves, Minior is sneaky good if used properly. This is mainly in part because of its unique ability that causes Minior to change its form after losing a certain percentage of HP. At full health, Minior is a defensive beast that can take hit after hit. After losing its core, however, Minior becomes a fast sweeper that can break numerous holes all over opposing teams. It takes some time to get the hang of its true power, to discover a working gameplan that focuses around its ability, but once one has been found, Minior is a scary sight to behold.
Mimikyu
Mimikyu is another weird Pokemon found in Alola. You're either scared to death of this ghost or extremely sad for it and its backstory, but it always invokes some type of feeling from people. But Mimikyu is also really strong when you take everything it has into account. First off, it has a free move with its ability of Disguise. It's almost like a free substitute, one that can be used to set traps, induce a status condition, or boosts its own moves. Mimikyu alone already has some pretty nice stats, having above average speed and power especially for a Pokemon from Alola. It also has a unique typing of both Ghost and Fairy, allowing it to cover many possible holes for a person's team.
Kommo-o
When it comes to Kommo-o, you either love it or you hate it. If you love it, you will say having a mix of both offensive and defensive strengths is a plus. It also has a new Dragon Move that can causes a lot of damage. If you don't really care for Kommo-o, you will say it's slow, like a lot of the other Pokemon of Alola. You'll also say that having a balance in power suppresses it from being phenomenal in one area or the other. No matter the case, Kommo-o is still one of the best of the Alola landscape. It's the next Pseudo Legendary Pokemon, and we all know how great all of them have been so far. Kommo-o is and will be no different.
Passimian should not be here, yes I know about Bisharp and sure he may have similar stats, but that was not the point of Bisharp, the point of Bisharp was that he had access to STAB sucker punch to do huge damage with priority and steel typing to remove annoyances like sylveon, due to being a fighting type, Passimian is next to useless due to its low speed no matter what its attack and defences are. It can easily be outdone. If you're looking for a good fighting type stick to lucario or scrafty, something that knows what its doing and what its meant to do so can take down the bulky normal types.
Personally, I disagree with most of this list. This article contains many mistakes/typos.(Magearna's shift gear boosts speed, not gear grind.)Secondly, you wrote that magearna threatens complete zygarde. I suggests quite the contrary: Complete Zygarde is bulky enough to survive magearna's fleur cannon most of the time, and will knock out magearna with earthquake since it is faster. Also, Xurkitree, in my opinion, does not deserve the number two spot as it is heavily outclassed by tapu koko. Xurkitree does have high special attack, but Tapu Koko's electric eerrain-boosted attacks also reach that level. Xurkitree also suffers from the fact that it cannot function well without a choice scarf or it risks being eliminated by dugtrio, which Tapu Koko beats easily. Running a choice scarf on Xurkitree makes it susceptible to gound types, or incredibly weak to Alolan Marowak due to lightning rod, and the fact that it resists Xurk's coverage. Tapu Koko can pivot out of Alolan Marowak with uturn.
Great article, helped me decide my team for the game!
