What to do to transfer from platinum to black?

I have two 3ds systems and both of them are formatted. I have Pokemon platinum and Pokemon black. Someone give me a walkthrough on what to do be able to transfer Pokemon from platinum to black. BE COMPLETELY THOROUGH!! Which system to log in with a Nintendo ID and when to do a system transfer. Do I complete both games on the same system? Complete platinum on the old one and black on the new one? But what happens when I do a system transfer won't I lose everything? I can only be logged on to one system at a time right? I'm so painfully confused please someone help me :( call me a noob if you want just help me make sense of this

On route 15, there's a PokéTransfer building, and follow directions from there.
