If you breed two Pokemon from games of two different languages your chances of getting a Shiny Pokemon increase to 1 in 1366.

There's a few ways to do it:
1. Front Pokemon in your party holds shiny charm (Must complete national pokedex)
2. Horde Battles (5 Pokemon, 5x of finding that shiny. Use sweet scent or honey to auto trigger a horde.)
3. Dexnaving (Look for the same Pokemon multiple times using DexNav. I think there's a blue star or a big star when the next one is shiny.)
(Fun fact: all gen 6 games and remakes have the chance of finding shiny Pokemon doubled!)
Most everyone I know will use a Action Replay or GameShark device to use a Shiny encounter code. This enables you to find Shiny Pokemon, or you can just make whatever Pokemon you want with it too. There is no real way to increase encounter by just chance.
