The following code will only work using sonic and to perform it you first need to enable the 'Level Select' code. Select 'Sound Test' from the 'Level Select' menu and play sounds '04', '01', '02', and '06' in that order. If you have entered the code correctly you will hear a confirmation sound of a Chao Emerald being collected. If you now choose any stage from the 'Level Select' menu you will be able to turn into Super Sonic after 50 rings as well as view Sonic's second ending after completing Death Egg Zone.
