Saving Penalties
When it comes to saving penalties you have two options, you can either be reactive where you wait till the ball has been kicked and then follow it's direction or proactive where you guess the direction of the ball before it is struck. It is recommended that you go the reactive way as you are likely to save more than you concede.
Ball Possession
Don't try to reach the opponent's goal as fast as possible as this usually ends with you losing the ball. It is better to keep the ball for as long as possible on each attack and wait for an opening to develop which you can take advantage of. It's better to turn around and pass the ball than it is to give it away because if you have the ball, your opponent can't score a goal.
Formation
When putting together a winning team it is essential that you choose the right formation. There are many formations to choose from and selecting one that suits your style of play is a matter of trial and error. Whatever formation you decide to use it is just important that you make sure you have the right personnel to play it.
Practice Mode
Take advantage of Practice mode to hone skills such as taking penalties, freekicks, crossing and passing. Practice mode will also teach you skills such as how to bend the ball around a wall of players and how to aim and direct your penalties and passes.
