How to Use Strife and War
The two playable characters in Darksiders Genesis are Strife and War and their approach to combat are completely different. In order to get the best out of them you need to play to their strengths, this basically means using Strife in situations that require ranged combat where you can take advantage of his guns and using War during melee confrontations when having his sword and ability to absorb damage is more beneficial.
Replay Levels for Bonus Rewards and Creature Cores
In Darksiders Genesis you always have the option to replay levels. Take advantage of this in order to get bonus rewards such as Souls which can be found in old chest from objectives you have already completed, and defeating enemies you are familiar with to get more Creature Cores when you are stuck on a level or close to getting an upgrade.
Don't Forget to Assign Creature Cores
Darksiders Genesis will not prompt you to assign Creature Cores so you need to make sure you don't forget to do it whenever you pick them up. It is important that you assign Creature Cores instead of leaving them in your inventory as they make Strife and War more powerful. You can get Creature Cores either by defeating enemies or by purchasing them from Vulgram. To assign Creature Cores you just need to slot them into the nodes at the Creature Core menu.

| Collect the 27 Trickster Keys that are hidden in the various missions, then open all the Trickster Doors, including the one that is in the Void at the very end of The Gauntlet. Once you have done this you will enter a secret area by opening the large door on the left of Vulgrim's shop which will take you to Wicked Killington. |
