This feature enables you to battle your friends in local multiplayer where the winner is the player that survives the battle.

This feature is essentially a horde mode where you hack and slash through enemies for as long as you can. Wave mode includes single and co-op gameplay.

In total there are seven characters and each of them has their own unique ability and play style. These include the Viking who is able to repel enemies with guitar riffs and leaps into combat by flipping wildly with his axe. Sniper who can pick targets off at range and plant mines. Vanguard who is equipped with a shield that blocks attacks and can create shock waves and Ninja who is able to disappear in an instant. You can find out what character best suits your play style by playing the tutorials for each of them.

Characters and movesets except for the two starting characters (Brawler and Warrior) will be secret unlocks that are spread throughout Wave mode. When you find them there will be little combat challenges attached to them that you will need to beat to unlock them.
