Scanner
Makes sure you keep your finger on the scanner button as you explore the streets and alleys as scanning will send out a pulse that identifies nearby missions, enemies, loot boxes and eventually, via a headquarters upgrade purchased from Relic, upgrade core shards.
Balanced Team
Each of the 12 different agents has strengths against certain types of enemies so experiment with each of them to get a balanced team as your core group you feel comfortable with.
Heal Characters
Keep an eye on your agents health and when you notice it is low swap them for another character so they can slowly heal on the sideline. They must be swapped before they drop.
Swap Characters
It is important that you swap characters in and out depending on the situation as agents have different strengths and weaknesses against specific enemy types.
Cover
There is no dedicated cover mechanic in the game which means you will need to duck behind a pillar or around the corner for several seconds to give your agent the time they need to get their shield recharged so they can get back into action.
Tactics
At the lower end of the games 16 difficulty levels you will have success just charging into the fray firing bullets everywhere. When you get to the bigger experience and cash bonuses that come with the higer levels you will need to formulate tactics to be successful.
Popups
It is important that you take the time to readk the messages that pop up on the screen telling you things like how weapons work, how to revive fallen agents, and how special missions function. You will need to know this information to be successful.
