A. Introduction

Welcome to my achievement guide for The King of Fighters XII.
The purpose of this little document is to help you get all the
achievements quickest way possible. Sad to say, for this game
there is no easy way, especially the online achievements. But
the game is fun to play so you really should play it online.

This guide is broken into fours parts: offline achievements,
online achievements, secret online achievements, and secret
offline achievements.

C. Offline Achievements

1. Striker 10 - Execute a counter-attack at least 10 times in
Versus Mode or Online Mode. 
Easy to do in versus mode against the CPU. Just keep mashing
the heavy punch button while you are close to your opponent.
You will know when you scored a counter attack when your
opponent flashes white and make a 360 degree turn. You can
probably score 6-8 of these per match if you are using a quick
character. If you are using a slow character then you would get
less per match. I would not recommend you trying to get this
online since going up against a real person and keep mashing
heavy punch would likely get you killed.

2. Sniper 20 - Execute a counter-attack at least 30 times in
Versus Mode or Online Mode.

3. Razor Edge 30 - Execute a counter-attack at least 50 times
in Versus Mode or Online Mode. 
See Striker.

4. Bull Fighter 15 - Inflict critical counter-attack damage at
least 10 times in Versus Mode or Online Mode.
This is another achievement you can get online or offline but I
would recommend offline since I do not want you to lose when you
are preoccupied by trying to inflict one of these. Basically go
into versus mode and pick a fast character. Keep fighting until
that green bar under your health fully fills up. Now go up close
to your opponent and mash heavy punch until you get a loud bang
and freeze screen. When that happens, don�t stop attacking and
you shall score an awesome combo. Do this 10 times and the
achievement is yours.

5. Slow Starter 10 - Try to clear Arcade Mode within 10 minutes. 
Really easy to do. You can pick anybody. But if you are having
trouble, pick Duo Lon. Jump towards you opponent and keep
mashing heavy punch. You should get a 4-5 hit combo. This
move alone with get you this achievement.

6. Speedster 20 - Try to clear Arcade Mode within 8 minutes. 
See Slow Starter.

7. Cannonball 30 - Try to clear Arcade Mode within 6 minutes.
If you are having trouble with this one, you need to use the
tactics in Slow Starter, and you need to pull off Duo Lon�s
super everytime it fills. Input 2x quarter circle forward +
heavy punch. That will allow you to kill you opponent quicker.

8. Lightning 40 - Try to clear Arcade Mode within 4 minutes. 
Not easy to do. All I can see is practice, practice, practice.
Or you can go on YouTube to try to emulate one of the videos.

9. Speed King 50 - Try to clear Arcade Mode in under 3 minutes
and 30 seconds.

D. Online Achievements

    
1. Warrior 10 - Win 5 or more battles in Online Mode. 
Self explanatory.

2. Gladiator 20 - Win 25 or more battles in Online Mode. 
Self explanatory.

3.  Hero 30 - Win 50 or more battles in Online Mode. 
Self explanatory.

4. Legend 50 - Win 100 or more battles in Online Mode. 
Self explanatory.

5. Rookie 10 - Compete in 10 or more battles in Online Mode. 
Self explanatory.

6. Veteran 20 - Compete in 30 or more battles in Online Mode. 
Self explanatory.

7. Champ 30 - Compete in 100 or more battles in Online Mode. 
Self explanatory.

8.  Master 50 - Compete in 300 or more battles in Online Mode.
Self explanatory.

E. Secret Online Achievements

For the following 9 achievements, you do not need to win. You
just have to keep on playing.

1. RANK F 10  
2. RANK E 15  
3. RANK D 20  
4. RANK C 25  
5. RANK B 30  
6. RANK A 35  
7. RANK S 40  
8. RANK SS 45  
9. RANK SSS 50

F. Secret Offline Achievements

1. Scion of the Flame 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Kyo Kusanagi. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.


2. Psychic-Powered Idol 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade
Mode using Athena Asamiya. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

3. Out-of-control Tank 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade
Mode using Raiden. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

4. Strongest Tiger 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Robert Garcia. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

5. Legendary Wolf 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Terry Bogard. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

6. One-Man Army 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Ralf Jones. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

7. Tough & Cool 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Clark Still. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

8. Shooting Star 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Benimaru Nikaido. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

9. Crown Jewel of Taekwondo 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade
Mode using Kim. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with this character.

10. Human Weapon 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode using
Andy Bogard. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

11. Shanghai's God of War 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Shen Woo. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

12. Unbridled Instinct 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Iori Yagami. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

13 Rising Storm 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode using
Goro Daimon. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

14 Silent Soldier 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode using
Leona Heidern. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

15. Invincible Dragon 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Ryo Sakazaki. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

16. Drunken Fist Master 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Chin Gentsai. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

17. Young Rising Dragon 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Sie Kensou. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

18. Silent Assassin 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode using
Duo Lon. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

19. Young Champ of Muay Thai 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade
Mode using Joe Higashi. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

20. Conductorof Brilliance 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode
using Elisabeth Branctorche. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

21. Cruel Beauty 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode using
Mature. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

22. Sneering Blaze 10 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode using
Ash Crimson. 
Took me a while to get this one. Basically just keep playing Arcade
mode with this character.

23. King of Fighters 50 - KO'ed every character in Arcade Mode using
all of the characters. 
Took me a long while to get this one. Basically just keep playing
Arcade mode with EVERY character. IMPORTANT NOTE: You have to beat
the CPU. You cannot play against a second controller. Or the
achievement would not unlock. So make sure no one ever press start
on the second controller while you are playing Arcade.

24. Conqueror 15 - Cleared Arcade Mode without using CONTINUE.
Don�t use any continues. Set CPU to Easy. Use characters you are
familiar with.
