In Tenchu Z you take on the roll of a ninja (a.k.a. assassin) whose home land
is on the brink of war. Your job is to assassinate your enemy's leaders.
There are fifty missions with hundreds of possible targets to assassinate
which keeps it interesting and allows for hours of game play.

In-game play [INGP300]

After the opening screen the next screen is the mode select menu. This menu
will give you your options for play which are: Ninja Village, System Link,
X-Box Live, and Training. Ninja Village is story mode. System Link is when you
link up to four X-Boxes together which allows multi-player off-line. X-Box Live
allows multi-player on-line over the Internet with up to four players.
Training is where you learn how to play the game.
When you are in the Ninja Village look to your left and you will see the shop,
which is where you will buy your abilities, items and clothing.
Look in front of you and you will see a man sitting. When you talk to him
he will give you your missions. Press A in front of him to bring up the
missions select menu and press LB/RB to choose your difficulty level. At the
top left of the screen you will see a circle with two kunai. The two Kunai
indicate normal. Change to one kunai for easy or three kunai for hard.
Whenever you see a white flag on a mission, that idicates that you must
complete that mission to progress in the game.
Once you have selected a mission you will see, at the bottom right corner of
the screen, your item section. At the left corner you will see a red bar and
a white bar. The red bar indicates your health and the white bar indicates how
well you are hidden. In the white bar there is a shuriken. When it is on the
right you are in plain sight. When it is on the left you are completely
hidden. Next to the bar there is a circle which has a lot of functions.
Green means you are close to the enemy. Yellow means the enemy has spotted you.
Orange means the enemy can smell you. Purple means they have heard you.
Orange fire means trouble. They have seen you and they are coming to get you!
Blue fire means they are alert but don't know where you're at. When the circle
is Green you will notice some numbers-these indicate how close the enemy is.
Right next to the circle there is a crescent shaped bar,
which indicates your noise level.
The small circle attached to this lets you know when you have the
oppurtunity for a silent kill. (SK for short)
When you approach an enemy that does not detect you, you will notice that a
circle will appear that changes from orange to red. When you see the circle,
press X to grab your enemy. Then you will be able to move him. Press X to kill
him or B to knock him out. If you have your sword drawn when an enemy does not
detect you, you will silent kill him. The method will depend on where you
approach him from. If the circle is Orange when you kill him, it will be
a regular SK. If it is red, you will get extra points.
If you pause the game, a menu with four options pops up. The four options are:
Resume, Restart Mission, Return to Ninja Village or Return to Mode Select.
If you press the Back button, it will bring up the Map. The Map is great
because it shows you the whole layout of the level.

Walkthrough [WALK400]

There are eight different missions which are: Assassinate, Recover the bombs,
Gather Information, Cross the checkpoint, Steal Information, Kill all enemys,
Rescue, And Pursuit. Before a mission I will tell you the name and goal of the
mission. The time of day. The Difficulty. How many Enemys, Innocents, Animals,
and Items there are. As well as the name of each item. If an item has an [E]
before the name it means that an Enemy is holding it. If an item has an [I]
before the name it means that an Innocent is holding it. If an item has a [A]
before the name it means that an Animal is holding it. If an item has a [G]
before the name it means that it is on the Ground. If an item has a [B] before
the name it means that it is in a Box/Breakable Object. If an item has a [X2]
before the name it means you can get more than one item this way.

You start the mission on a bridge. In front of you is a wall with a lamp on the
right. Go to the lamp and jump on it and than onto the wall. Walk on the top of
the wall to the right a long distance until you come to a small building
connected to a bigger building. The target is in the small building.

You start this mission standing in front of a stone wall. Jump onto the stone
wall and land on a pathway. To your left is a wall. Follow the pathway to the
end of the wall and turn left, Quick right, Quick left-following the perimeter
of the wall. Follow the pathway to the next corner and jump onto the wall and
you will see a tan building in front of you. The target is in this building.

There are ten bombs in this mission and the location of the bombs changes.
Press the Back button to bring up a Map that will show you the locations of
each bomb, Which will be marked on your Map with an orange star. The bombs
look like little brown boxes and can be picked up by touching them.

You start this mission on a deserted road. Follow the road straight. past a
ramp. At the end of the wall you will go up a small ramp. Stop at the top of
the ramp and look to you left. You will see a group of buildings. Straight
ahead there is a small shrine. Go to the shrine. From here go North-West
through the buildings. You will see the target standing behind a building
wearing a hat.

You start this mission on a rooftop. Your target is directly in front of you.
Which is North-East of your position. Head to your right along the rooftop. At
the end of the roof jump over a small wall. From here head straight past a
building and jump over a wooden fence. From here go through a large field to
reach a river. Cross the river and go to the wall in front of you. When you
reach the wall follow it to your left. You will come to a bridge which you will
be under. Look up to where the stone wall meets the bridge railing. Use your
grapling hook on the pole at the right end of the railing then jump over the
pole to complete the mission.

You start this mission outside in a field. Go straight up a small hill and you
will see a big wall with an entrance to a mine. Once instide go left and then
take another left into a big room with a stream down the middle. Staying on the
left side of the stream go straight. Through a doorway into a giant room.From
here you will see a building in the distance the target is in this building

You start at the bottom of a lot of steps. Go to the top of the stairs and jump
on the wall. Go left on the wall until it ends. Use a long jump to get to the
next wall. Go left on this wall and jump onto the roof of the building. Walk on
the rooftop until you reach another roof over a walkway. Walk on this rooftop,
it turns right-keep going. You will reach another building. Jump onto the roof
and follow this roof to another rooftop. Follow it about halfway down. Use your
grapling hook on the rooftop of the building to your right. Go to your right
and follow the rooftop around the building to the other side. Go in the open
window. You will see a staircase with a room to the right. Go in the room and
walk through it. In front of you is a room with a female Ninja. Go into the
room, go left. There is another room. The designs are in this room.

You start on a path at the foot of a shrine. Go up the hill to the left side of
the shrine. Go straight to the wall and go left. Follow the wall to the end,
turn left and follow the stone wall. When the stone wall ends, jump up onto the
wall. Go to your left and walk on top of the wall, until you see a big doorway
in the building to your right. Jump onto the roof right over the door and you
will see a crawlspace. Go through the crawlspace until you reach a giant
opening in the floor. The opening goes into a room where you will find the
target.

your left. When you come to the lamp on the wall, jump onto the wall. You will
see a building directly in front of you. The target is in the building.

reach the corner. In front of you you'll see a large building. This is where
the target is. Unfortunately, there is an innocent in the room with him so
assassinating him is a litle more difficult.

immediately to your right there is a room. The list is in this room.

You start this mission on a roof. Your target is on the ground to your right.
You have to follow the target in this mission. You can't kill him. You can't
let him see you and you have to stay in close range of him. If you move too
far away from the target a timer will start which allows you 25 seconds to get
back into range or the mission will end. If you want a ninja 5 rank on this
mission, You will have to assassinate all enemys and not be seen once. You can
use items and I strongly recommend it. The best item to use is the blowgun.
You can buy them later on in the game and get them in training.

You start this mission on a wooden deck. Go to your left and go into the water.
On your right is a wall-follow it a very long distance until you get to the
boat. When you get to the boat jump out of the water and onto the side of it.
As soon as you're on the boat it will trigger a cut scene and your first boss
battle will begin.
BOSS SHIGI---------------------------------------------------------------------
I recommend you assassinate everyone near the boat otherwise they will hear the
fight. He has a lot of health but only a few attacks. He will do a 2 to 4 hit
combo, an uppercut slash and a charge attack. After every attack he will do a
backflilp. He blocks your attacks a lot and occassionally he will go into a
stance where he holds his sword slightly above his head. If you attack him when
he is in this stance he will counter it. He also taunts you which leaves
him completely open for an attack. The best time to attack is when he does
the uppercut slash. Other than that your best bet is to run around in a circle
and watch for an opening. At the end of your combo he will attack right away
so be prepared to roll or jump out of the way.

You start this mission at the foot of a ramp. Go up the ramp and down the other
side. In front of you is a wall-go right to a another wall and jump onto it.
Follow the path arond the corner to a wooden bridge. At the bridge take a right
and follow the path to end. To your left is a big building use your grapling
hook on the roof. Cross over the roof to the other side where you will see a
courtyard. The target is in the courtyard.

You start on a dirt path. Go straight to the wall and go right. Follow the wall
to the end and turn left. Follow the path and go up the hill. When you come to
the stone wall, stay to the right of the wall. Follow the wall as it turns
right and go up another hill. Go straight down the path, there is a wall to
your left. When you come to the lamp on the wall, jump onto the wall. You will
see a building directly in front of you. The target is in the building.

have to kill them all! Bahaha! (sorry). In the upper right corner of the scren
there is a counter that lets you know how many you have killed thus far. 18 of
the 20 enemys are ninja which are harder to kill so be careful.

see an opening in the building to your left. Jump onto the roof right over the

The target is on the top floor of the giant building. I recommend you
assassinate everyone in the building otherwise they will hear the fight. There
are three ninja on the roof of the giant building make shore you kill them or
thay will get in the way. When you reach the top floor it will trigger a boss
fight
BOSS Nagayori Ogawara----------------------------------------------------------
His weapon is a rifle with a long blade on the end. If you get too far away he
will shot you which is almost impossible to dodge. If he is able to block your
attacks he will kick you and immediately stab you with his rifle. Occassionally
he will trun his back to you and hold his rifle over his shoulder if you attack
at this time he will counter it. Your best bet for fightibg him is to go out
onto the roof and attack him when he truns a corner. Or you can use a pinwheel
on him. Two or three of these should kill him.
BOSS Shigi---------------------------------------------------------------------
You didn't think it would be so easy did you?.
Shigi's back and he stole your kill!. He's the same as before but with a few
new trick's. Now he can, charge his sword up with electricity to attack you,
breathe fire and throw shurikens at you!. I recommend the same strategy as
before but it's up to you.
