STORY

So you thought you had defeated Red Falcon in Contra, eh? Well you are wrong.
He had only retreated to come back another time and that time is now. Sargeant
Bill Ko and Corporal Lance are back and ready to face Red Falcon once again
in Super Contra. This time the battle is tougher.

When you come off your helicopter, start shooting the soldiers and get the
Machine Gun (first pod) or the Spread Gun (second pod). We chose the Spread
Gun. Shoot the everything in sight and shoot the next pod that has a Missile
Gun in it. As you go, aim upwards to shoot the enemies shooting from the
barracks above and dropping down. Duck down and shoot the one in a low position
then go down the hill and keep shooting. When a mountain rises, shoot the guns
that emerge from it. When you fight the tank, do not kill the operator or the
tank will run out of control and run you over. Shoot the tank and avoid the
bullets from the soldier. Watch out for the guns coming out of the floors.
Shoot them as soon as possible. Shoot your way to the right till you reach a
bunker. Shoot everyone there and when you face the helicopter, avoid the
bullets and shoot the helicopter down piece by piece. The last piece to destroy
is the blue orb.
Once it is destroyed, shoot your way to the right and get the laser. Shoot your
way to the boss and shoot the sandbags away from the three soldiers above and
shoot the big core above till it explodes.

This an overhead level. Shoot your way to a laser pod then when you reach a
tank, stand far away and slightly to the left or right of the operator and
blast on it. Get the shell and defeat the next tank the same way you destroyed
the other one. Go through the passageway and shoot your way to the upper left
and get a shell and go shoot your way to a red door, blast through and face the
boss. Shoot the sidekicks so the boss can lose his barrier on and off then
blast him when the barrier is off.

Shoot your way to the right and destroy the floor guns and watch for snipers in
the trees that shoot at you. In the water, you can duck without worrying about
drowning. Shoot the floor gun before getting out and watch for bugs similar to
the ones you fought in the end of Contra (assuming you played it). Get the
Spread Gun and shoot your way to the right until you reach the boss.
The boss seems hard since the screen moves up and down and at the same time,
its cronies are trying to vomit on you. All you have to do is shoot the nest
in the middle and destroy then keep firing up in the middle area and dodge
the red balls coming down and when the curve balls come, you can jump over or
duck under them.

There are aliens of various kinds in the level. Grab a gun and start blasting
on them as you move right until you reach a huge ships that drops drones and
shoots red balls at you which can be destroyed. Aim your shots at the core in
the middle until it crash lands and you are free to keep moving and shooting.
Destroy the eggs and the boss is to the right. Get underneath it and shoot up
as fast as you can then run left before it shoots two globs then comes down and
lashes it tounge at you and flies back. Commence shooting at it and it will
die.

Another overhead level. Move up and kill the bugs you come by. The mouths that
come up from the ground are thorn in anyone's side. Avoid them as much as you
can and shoot them if necessary. Watch out for enemies that circle around you.
They distract you other enemies. Near the end, a swarm of them will come. Stay
still and shoot them away while shooting the other enemies. Shoot the barrier
and make your way to the multi-faced miniboss and dodge bullets and avoid the
yellow spikes as you shoot the boss when you have a chance. Get out of the way
when the barrier explodes and the boss you have to destroy piece by piece by
shooting the snakes on the sides when they come down to make things easier then
shoot away the ears and eyes. All you have to worry about is the enemies the
boss spits out as you aim for the core on its head and shoot away the bugs
surrounding it then finish it off.

Complete level 4 in Single Player mode.
Good Score (20)
Reach level 2 with a score of 100,000 or more.
Good Start (10)
Complete level 1 in less than 3 minutes.
Master (35)
Complete the game using only 1 credit.
Shot Down (15)
Destroy the helicopter without dying once.
Team Players (10)
Score 300,000 points in an Xbox Live CO-OP game, while still alive.
Three Levels (15)
Complete level 3 in Single Player or Multi-Player mode.
Two Levels (10)
Complete level 2 while playing an Xbox Live CO-OP game.

Unlimited Lives and Super Machinegun
On the main menu, select Arcade Game, and then enter the following code:
(Using the D-Pad) Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A.
If done correctly, the game will start up instead of backing out to the main
menu. You will begin with 5 lives that never decrease when killed, and you
will have a Super Machinegun weapon equipped at all times!
NOTE-Using this code disables all Achievements and you cannot upload scores to
Xbox Live Leaderboards. The code will remain active until you exit the game
using the Exit Game option in the pause menu.
