I. INTRODUCTION                                                 [NBInt]
=======================================================================

Ninja Blade is an action game that borrows heavily from Ninja Gaiden.
If you haven't had enough ninja killing action from Ninja Gaiden 2
recently, then Ninja Blade is right up your alley. It relies more
heavily on more obscure things like quick time events and such, and
is somewhat of a pale imitator ompared to Ninja Gaiden 2, but it's
still a fun little game that isn't too bad for a boring Saturday.

II. HOW TO PLAY                                                 [NBHTP]
=======================================================================

Ninja Blade is pretty straightforward. If you played Ninja Gaiden 
before, you'll feel right at home. However, it does have a few
wrinkles to make things interesting...

QUICK TIME EVENTS

Quick time events, hereafter known as QTE, are events where you have
to press certain button combinations during cutscenes to continue.
Unlike in other games, QTEs are a big part of the game. I've listed
all the QTEs. If it's just a button press, it'll just be something like
X or A. However, if you have to keep pressing the button, I'll either
say rapidfire (in the case that the button is random) or use
parentheses around the button, such as (X). Any direction (I.E. RIGHT,
LEFT, DOWN, UP) is done with the left analog stick.

NINJA VISION

Ninja vision allows you to see certain hidden objects or paths you
normally can't see. Use it by pressing the LB button.

III. STORY MODE                                                 [NBSto]

1. MISSION 1                                                    [NBM01]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When Ken jumps out of the plane, you'll have to press X, X, Y, and Y.
Now you'll be in control of Ken. Defeat the three enemies here (you
can do it rather easily) and then another three enemies will appear.
Defeat them and you'll have another QTE. Press A, then A again. You'll
have to now fight a giant enemy.

The Giant will swing in a punch, dash towards him to dodge, hit him a
few times, then dash away from him. Keep doing this. When he is about
to hit the ground to attack, dodge to either side. Sometimes the Giant
will be surrounded by flames. Kill the enemies that come out and
eventually the flames will stop and you can continue attacking. These
three are the Giant's only attacks so you should be able to dispatch it
without too much trouble. When it's about to die press X while you're
near it to deal the finishing blow, which involves a QTE. Press X, X,
A, then Y to defeat the Giant.

Go right and jump up the platforms. Eventually you'll learn to wallrun.
Perform the wallrun and then go left. You'll find some crates you can
break. While you are here, run along the wall and turn the corner on
the right. You'll find more crates here. Break them and you'll find
a [[HEALTH PIECE]]. Now go back to the main path. Defeat the enemies
and you'll have to deal with a QTE. Press DOWN, and go forward across
the bars to get to the next platform. Keep going and climb up the wall.
Soon you'll find more enemies. Defeat them and move heard. Wipe out the
fire with your Ninjutsu, and wall run to the next platform. Keep going
and put out any flames you see, while wallrunning to the next few
platforms. You'll find some crates you can destroy for some items.
Eventually you'll have to fight some enemies. Kill them all, and the
Giant will come after you again for a QTE. Press B, A, DOWN, then UP.

Now you have to fight a Giant on fire. Use your Ninjutsu to put out
the fire the run in and hit him a few times. Eventually the fire will
come back up, so dash away when you've got a few good hits in. After
a while of this, the whole area wll be set on fire. Use your Ninjutsu
to put out as much fire as you can, and continue the attack cycle. When
the Giant is near death, go to it and press Y for a QTE. press UP,
DOWN, X, X, Y, X, X, then Y. After this another ATE will occur and you
will need to press UP.

Now keep running while holding down RT, then press A at the end of the
hallway. You'll be going down the side of a building now, so be
careful. At the end of it you'll fight a giant spider in a QTE. Press
B, A, A, A, then Y. When you're safe you'll gain the [[TWIN FALCON
BLADES]]. Equip them and kill the bats incoming. More enemies will
come afterwards. Kill them with your normal sword. Now go to the edge
of the building and press A to go to the next one. You'll find some
barrels here, one of which contains a [[CHI PIECE]], another of which
contains a [[SHINOBI MOJI]], and yet another of which contains an
[[EMBLEM]].

Now, climb up the wall to the next building. Defeat the enemies here,
but be careful of the fireballs being thrown your way. When you're
close to the big bad here, you'll have to do a QTE. Press A, X, LEFT,
A, X, Y, UP, Y, A, Y, then B. Now you'll have the [[STONERENDER SWORD]]
in your inventory. You'll have to fight some more enemies, but they
should be easy prey with your new sword. Another wave of enemies will
come, and when you defeat them a cutscene will occur. It will end in a
QTE where you must press Y.

You'll see a cracked wall. Use the Stonerender to break it, and go
through. There are some barrels with life powerups below if you're
hurting. If not, do the wallrun jump. When you have to jump across
walls, drop down to the platform and use the Stonerender to destroy
the nearby wall. It will lead to some crates, one of which contains
the [[PIN STRIPE OUTFIT]], an alternate costume. Now go back up and
run across the walls. You'll see some barrels that you can break open.
GO to the next platform and another QTE will happen. Press DOWN, X, A,
X, Y, and A. Now chase after Arachne. Arachne will shoot energy waves
at you. Move to either side to avoid the veritcal ones, and jump to
avoid the horizontal ones. When you get close, equip the Stonrender and
attack its legs when it slams them into the ground. When both legs are
gone, you can attack its head. After a while a cutscene will occur, and
end in a QTE. Press (A) to get past it. Continue this cycle. Another
QTE will happen. Press A. The legs are guarded by either bats or flames
so blow out the flames and start attacking the legs. You'll want to be
careful because sometimes a leg will cause a small earthquake to hit
you.  When you destroy three legs, attack Arachne's body. When its
life is gone, press A to start the finishing QTE. Press X, (A), (Y),
(A), Y, A, X, then A.

That's it for this mission.

2. MISSION 2                                                    [NBM02]

You'll start on a machine gun. se it to hit the monster, and watch out
for monsters flying down at you. Keep shooting the worm monster, and
eventually you'll trigger a QTE. There are three buttons you have to
Press but it's random every time. After these three, press A, and A.
Kill the enemies that appear, and another QTE will occur where you have
to press RIGHT, then you'll have to fight another monster.

This enemy uses attacks you can't see unless you use your ninja vision.
So use it, and then keep dodging the attacks as you close in. Attack
the enemy a few times then dash out of the way of its attack. After a
while the enemy will try to run you over. Press Right to dodge it.
After a while normal enemies will come to reinforce the miniboss, but
you can take care of them easily. Keep repeating this pattern and
the boss will start shooting energy waves at you. When its life is
nearly gone, go towards it and press A, then X, A, A, A, Y to kill it.

Another worm monster appears, so press DOWN, then Y when the QTE starts
and when it finishes, start running away. Jump over the gaps using the
bars, and at the edge, jump. You're sliding down the building again,
and when you reach the bottom, another QTE will occur. Press UP, (X),
A, then A. Now you have to fight the worm monster.

First it'll shoot fireballs, then it'll roar and hit the ground. When
it does, jump up to avoid the attack, and run in to attack it a few
times before dashing away. keep this pattern up. Eventually the enemy
will move. When it does it'll use attacks you can't see without ninja
vision. Just wait them out. Wait for a chance to attack. After a while
of this, the enemy will go down. Keep attacking it, and bats will
appear and start attacking you. Kill the bats while dodging the mini-
boss' attacks. The miniboss will now use a dash attack agianst you.
Dodge it and keep attacking. Now when its life is gona, wallrun to
the right platform, then wallrun up again and jump to the platform on
the other side. Get near the enemy and press X, then press (A), A, UP,
A, and A. Now you'll have to run away. Wallrun across any gaps you
see, and when you reach the end, dodge by pressing DOWN.

Now, keep running, and wallrun over the pits. You'll come to some
platforms you can jup on. Dodge the missiles by wallrunning, then
when it's safe, you can destroy the barrels you see to get an
[[EMBLEM]]. Use your ninja vision here and you'll see a blue spot on a
building. Use your Cyclone Shuriken to make an area where you can
grapple. Climb up the building and kill the enemies there. Go up to
the platform and kill the enemies here. There are red barrels here
(which are explosive), so don't hit them. When you find a pit, jump
down and you'll find some barrels. Destroy them for a [[SHINOBI MOJI]]
item. Now, keep going and you'll see more barrels. Eventually you'll
be shot at by the helicopter.

Use the pillars to shield yourself from the bullets, all the while
killing a group of enemies. Use a Cyclone Shuriken to reveal a grapple
area. Go to the next building and destroy the barrels. Kill all the
enemies here, and the boxes nearby have some items. Keep going an
destroy the red barrels from afar, and dodge the helicopter's missiles.
Go to the next building and kill the enemies here while dodging the
gunfire. When the enemies are gone you can fight the helicopter.

Block its gunfire, then run to it and attack it. When its life is gone,
get near it and press A, then A, X, Y, DOWN, (A). Another QTE will
occur, LEFT, A, RIGHT, LEFT, Y. Now you will have the Flame Shuriken.
Press B at the QTE. Go across the bridge then use your newly acquired
flame shuriken to burn a path through the plants. Wallrun to the next
platform, then wallrun again. Use the Cyclone Shuriken to reveal a
grapple point and go to the next building. When you get there destroy
the barrels nearby for a [[CHI PIECE]].

Keep going and kill the enemies here. And the edge, destroy the wall
with the Stonerender, and destroy any red barrels from afar. Keep going
and kill the enemies, and use ninja vision as you progress to find an
enemy generator. Destroy it, then kill all the enemies. Nearby there
is a breakable wall. Destroy it and go in, then destroy the barrels
here to find the [[PINE AND CRANE]] outfit. Back in the previous room
you will find a fence with a hole you can go through. Go through and
kill all the enemies. Keep going and you'll find a place you can
wallrun up. Go up the wall, and you'll be on a platform. Destroy the
barrels here to get a [[HEALTH PIECE]].

Now, look for a breakable wall in the last room, get through it, then
destroy the plant monster with a Flame Shuriken. Go left, the wallrun
across, and kill the enemies here. Put out the flames with your Cyclone
Shuriken, and jump onto the platform. Climb up and kill the enemies.
You'll see a barrel here, and inside holds a [[CHI PIECE]]. Now drop
down and kill all the enemies, and keep moving forward. Jump down and
press A at the QTE to land. To your front and slightly to the left side
is a place you can wallrun up. You'll fight some enemies here. After
killing them, destroy the barrels for a [[HEALTH PIECE]].

Now drop back down and kill all the enemies here, then a QTE will occur
where you must press A, Left, Right, X, then rapidfire a random button,
do it again, then A, and A again.

Now you will be on a platform. Kill all the enemies here, then use the
Cyclone Shuriken and climb up the grappling point. Go to the next
platform and move on to fight the boss, a Snail Monster.

The boss is weird. It will fire stuff at you, shoot out its spiked
tongue (!?), and shoot blue energy shots. For the second attack, dodge
to the side and attack. For the third, jump over them and use Flame
Shurikens to attack. Bats will come down to attack you but they are
easily dispatched. After a while some worm monsters will appear. You
can easily kill them after dodging their initial dash attack. As the
boss is dying, he'll start throwing attacks you can't see without your
ninja vision, so use it to dodge them and attack the boss whenever you
get a chance. When its life runs out go near it, press A, then X, then
rapidfire the random button, then A, A, A, UP, DOWN, A, B, and Y.

This ends mission 2.

3. MISSION 3                                                    [NBM03]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You'll be on another machine gun now. Shoot the monster as well as the
crap it throws at you. Shoot the flying monsters as well, but be sure
not to forget destroying the stuff the main baddie keeps chucking.
When you stop, switch to missile fire and shoot everything that moves.
Switch back to the machine gun when you start moving again, and you'll
contend with some flying monsters as well as some vehicles. Eventually
you'll reach a QTE. Press (X), and then the random button presses.
After a while of killing more flying enemies, another QTE requires you
to press Left, and A.

Now for a mini boss. Shoot your missiles while taking out the flying
mosnters with gunfire. Then you'll have to shoot missile at another
enemy before a QTE requiring you to press UP. Now, you'll be off the
machine gun so you can fight the miniboss. It'll shoot lightning
spheres at you. Dodge these, and pay attention to the top of the
screen. If there is a timer, then there will be lasers appearing soon.
Dodge the lasers and throw Flame Shurikens at it repeatedly. It will
go down eventually, so go in and press A, then X, RIGHT, B, DOWN, UP,
A, A, RIGHT, X, A, A, then Y. You'll now gain [[LIGHTNING SHURIKEN]]
and have to press B at the end of the cutscene for the QTE.

You'll be in control now. Go to your left and destroy the barrels for
a [[SHINOBI MOJI]]. Kill the enemies here, and jump down to the
platform. Wallrun across the pit and kill the enemies. Use the bars
to get to the next building, and kill the enemies. You'll see a
breakable wall nearby. Break through it and keep going. Destroy all
the barrels here and you'll be able to find a [[HEALTH PIECE]]. Then
you'll find some crates with an [[EMBLEM]] inside.

Now, keep going and grapple to the next building. Kill the enemies here
and break the wall nearby with a flame shuriken, then the stonerender.
You'll have to time your wall runs to avoid the barriers set here,
and then use a Cyclone Shuriken to disperse the flames ahead and use
the bar to go up. Kill the enemies and keep moving forward. Eventually
you'll see some plants blocking the path. Use your Flame Shuriken to
take care of them, then wallrun forward. Keep going forward and then
you'll fight some invisible enemies. You can see them with your ninja
vision. You'll find a breakable wall here. Destroy it, and go to the
next building. Find the small platform to go on and then break the
barrels for a [[CHI PIECE]].

Kill the enemies and keep going. You'll find another platform to drop
onto, and there is a breakable wall nearby. Destroy it and you'll find
a [[HEALTH PIECE]] inside the crates. Destroy the nearby barrels for
the [[HEARTS OUTFIT]]. Now go back and drop down. Kill the enemies
here, put out the flames and move forward. Use the bars to reach the
boss of the stage.

The boss can use a tackling attack, which is obvious because it'll
swipe its claw. It'll also breath poison, which you can avoid to attack
it. After a while, there'll be a QTE where you have to rapidfire a
random button. This will give you an opening to attack the boss. It
will then shoot fireballs at you from a distance. When it jumps back,
dash in for a few attacks. When the boss' life is at zero, move close
and press A, then Y. You'll face off against another boss.

When she hits the ground, be prepared to dodge some tentacle attacks.
If she's not surrounded by fire, run in and hit here a few times. Make
copious use of your shuriken attacks. Like the last boss she'll start
throwing stuff at you from afar after a certain point. After she's done
firing, she'll use her tentacle attack again, so be ready to run from
them. When her life is gone, go near her and press A, then UP, and Y.

After these two bosses, Mission 3 is complete.

4. MISSION 4                                                    [NBM04]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You start on a machine gun, AGAIN. Here you'll have to switch between
the machine gun and missiles when the different waves of enemies come
at you. Use machine guns for unarmored and missiles for armored. After
a while a plane and a helicopter will start attacking. Attack the
helicopter with your missiles, and watch out for missiles coming from
the helicopter. When it's gone, use ninja vision on the plane and
you'll see its weak spots. Shoot those with missiles. Be careful of
fire balls. After a while you'll have a QTE. Press A, RIGHT, LEFT,
RIGHT, X, Y, RIGHT, UP, then (Y).

Enemies will keep coming so kill them all. Eventually you'll need to
go into the plane. The crates in here will hold a [[SHINOBI MOJI]],
as well as an [[EMBLEM]]. Now go out and you'll have to kill some more
enemies. Now go back to the other wing and kill some more enemies.
Eventually a larger enemy will come down and the wing will be set on
fire. Use your Cyclone Shuriken to put out the flames. Now you'll have
to go to the other side AGAIN. Keep killing enemies and putting out
fires. Eventually you'll have to do a QTE by pressing UP, B, A, A, and
A.

Kill off the enemies nearby, and put out the flames. Defeat the hydra
enemy by throwing flame shurikens at it, then dodging its dashes and
attacking it. Go near it when it's almost dead, then press A, A, X,
RIGHT, UP, Y, then Y. After a while, press A. When you're inside the
plane, start destroying the crates, and you'll find the [[CLOWN 
OUTFIT]] inside one of them. I just want to say, this is the most
ridiculous outfit I've ever seen - and I got all of God of War's
outfits. Anyway, clear out the enemies and keep smashing crates, and
inside one will be a [[HEALTH PIECE]].

You'll have to do another QTE after all the crates are gone. Press UP
then random button presses. Now you have to fight a helicopter. Block
its machine gun fire, and the reflect its missiles back at it by
attacking them with a normal attack. When the helicopter lands, rush
over and attack it. Wait until it gets to the firing missiles part
and repeat the process. You'll have to destroy two helicopters this
way.

Another hydra enemy will come at you. Use flame shurikens to attack
and after a while a stronger hydra monster appears. Use your Thunder
Shuriken on the left head and reflect the giant fireballs back at the
right head. Once both heads are down, the center head will be your
main focus. When is shoots an electric sphere, hit it back. You'll
have to play tennis with this sphere but after a while a QTE will
occur. The buttons here are all random.

You'll have to fight another boss now. Use your thunder shuriken to
hit it from medium range. When the enemy's fireballs hit the electric
shield, it'll damage the boss. Keep using thunder shuriken to upkeep
the shield. Get near when the boss is near death and press A, then
X, UP, (A), X, (X), random button presses, (B), and Y.

Now for the most hilarious scene in the game. Press A, A, random, A,
random, then X. Afterwards, press A, random, Y, random, and Y to
finish off the stage. Stopping a plane with your bare hands? REALLY?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
5. MISSION 5                                                    [NBM05]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You start the stage with a midboss fight. When the enemy rushes towards
you, dodge and when it stopps rolling, attack it. The enemy will start
again, then keep avoiding it by dashing. When it stops, attack again.
Repeat this cycle. You'll then have to do a QTE. Press X, Y, DOWN, A,
then DOWN. After this you'll be falling. Avoid the rubble by dodging
from side to side while killing enemies. At the end, press A, then A
for the QTE.

To the right destroy the crates and you'll find a [[HEALTH PIECE]].
Go towards the breakable wall, kill the invisible enemies, and go
through after destroying it. When you see a pit, throw a flame shuriken
to reveal a grapple point and then jump over after using ninja vision
to spot a plant you can kill with your flame shuriken. Now go to the
left and blow out the wall to find another pit. use your flame shuriken
to reveal another grapple point, then grapple over and kill the
enemies. Int he next room, run across the pools when they aren't
electrified and climb up to the platform. Kill the enemies here, and
move ahead.

You'll fight another midboss here. Kill it the same way you did the
first one. The QTE is A, X, X, Y, X, Y. Go onward, and kill any enemies
you come across. Eventually you'll need to wallrun across a pit, then
upwards to an upper level. Kill the enemies here, then jump on the bars
to get to the next area. Kill the enemies here and move on. You'll see
a breakable wall soon. Destroy it, kill the invisible enemies, and then
break the eggs on the other side of the wall. One has a [[CHI PIECE]].

Head back and wallrun forward. Keep going until you drop down, then use
your ninja vision to find a plant you can kill with your flame
shuriken. Kill the enemies here, and you'll be able to see some barrels
somewhere in the area. Destroy them and there will be a [[HEALTH
PIECE]] inside. Now keep moving on, and then you will find a giant
plant again. Kill it with a flame shuriken, and then grapple to the
next area. Destroy the plant you meet next, then kill the enemies there
before going forward. Keep going and you'll reach a cave. You'll see
some crates you can detsroy and if you use a flame shuriken on the
ledge you can grapple to another platform. There will be barrels here
containing a [[CHI PIECE]].

Go to the next platform, then keep going. Kill the enemies, and you'll
find some claw enemies; nearby there is a breakable wall. Break through
it, then use ninja vision to locate another. Now go back out and turn
right. At the edge, jump across the pit and the barrels will contain a
[[SHINOBI MOJI]]. Keep going and climb the wall. Go back the way you
came and then continue onward. When you reach the next room, use your
[[NINJA VISION]] in order to find a hidden barrel. Destroy it to find
an [[EMBLEM]]. Keep going and grapple to the next platform, then you'll
fight ANOTHER midboss. The same tactics will work as before. You'll
then have to QTE to kill it. Press A, then X, Y, X, X, Y. After this
you're going to have another QTE. Press UP, RIGHT, A, Y.

When you're in control again, use your flame shuriken to make a grapple
point appear. Climb up and kill the enemies there. Keep going and break
through the wall. Continue onward and destroy the enemies. When you are
in the tunnel, kill the enemy after showing it through Ninja Vision,
then during the QTE, press UP and A. Now you have to fight a boss.

Stones will be thrown at you sometimes. Dodge them and attack the boss
whenever you have a chance. Knock some exploding enemies into the boss
using the Cyclone Shuriken. If flames appear, use the cyclone shuriken
and put them out. When the boss' life is gone you'll have to kill it
with a QTE. Press A, then Y, X, UP, A, A, B. After this, press Y, X,
UP, A, A, B. Finally press B, LEFT, A, A, UP, A, UP, Y.

Now you have to keep hitting the boss. When it shoots fireballs at you
jump over them and attack it. Keep doing this and when the boss' life
is gone, you'll have to do another QTE. Press A, then X, Y, LEFT, A,
then Y. Then, press A, and (X), (Y), (Y). After this cutscene, press
(A), and hen A, A, and then Y.

After that long ass QTE sequence, the mission will end.

6. MISSION 6                                                    [NBM06]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

At the beginning of the stage, press RIGHT at the QTE. Kill all the
enemies here, and you'll eventually see a part to wallrun up as you
move on. Kill the enemies, and then cross the bridge. Destroy the plant
and keep going. Kill the enemies, and then cross another bridge and
jump onto the platform. Jump down, kill the enemies, and move on. Here
you'll fight a mid boss. Put out its fire, then attack after its attack
when it's still recovering. Keep doing this until it's dead.

Keep going, and you'll be able to wallrun upwards. Put out the flames
before you go up though. When you get there destroy the barrels and
wallrun up the wall nearby and jump onto a platform. Destroy the crates
for a [[CHI PIECE]]. Now, drop down and continue on. Keep going forward
while killing enemies and eventually you'll have to climb up a wall.
Do so for a cutscene. Afterwards, you'll have to kill a crapload of
enemies. Keep going forward after you've fought off the army, and then
keep moving forward. Jump up the grapple point and keep going. Kill
the enemies you meet and drop down. You'll fight two Giant enemies
along with a legion of normal enemies. You can take them down by now.
You'll be able to find a wall to wallrun up near the first bridge.
Put out the fire on the paltform, then get onto the ledge and destroy
the nearby barrels to find a [[SHINOBI MOJI]].

Now jump back down and keep going. Put out the fires and keep going
forward. Kill the enemies and cross the bridge, then turn right. Break
the barrels here to find a [[HEALTH PIECE]]. Now keep on moving
forward, and kill the enemies, and set fire to the enemy generator
before killing the bugs. Now keep going, and wallrun and jump over
the helicopter. Grapple to the next area and kill the enemies. Keep
going while killing off the enemies here and use the bars to get over
the pit. In this next room you can destroy some crates to find a
[[HEALTH PIECE]]. Now break through the nearby breakable wall, and
wallrun to the platform. Kill the enemies here, and break through the
nearby breakable wall, to find some barrels with a [[CHI PIECE]] as
well as an [[EMBLEM]].

Now get to the next building and kill the enemies. Use the flame
shuriken on the red barrels you can see to blow up the enemies, then
keep going. You'll now fight a midboss. It'll shoot lasers at you,
and dash at you. Dodge the lasers and the dash, then hit it when you
have a chance. Damage it enough and it'll retreat, and a lot of smaller
enemies will come at you. Throw out some thunder shurikens to kill them
off. Once enough of them go down, the midboss will come out again.
Repeat the process. Now get near it when it's nearly dead, then press
A, then X, then X, Y, Y, then A, and X. Now press (A), and then Y.

Get to the next building. Kill the enemies, and press B, then A and
you'll get out of the elevator. When you regain control, destroy the
nearby crates for the [[MOON OUTFIT]]. Keep going forward for a QTE
where you have to press UP, then RIGHT. Continue onward and kill all
the enemies. Another QTE will occur. Press X, then throw a flame
shuriken at the enemy, and then press B in the next QTE. Keep attacking
and during the next QTE, press (X). Continue attacking, and the midboss
will retreat, leaving you to contend with a few normal enemies. When
the enemies are gone, hit the midboss with a flame shuriken. Press Y
at the next QTE. Keep attacking him, and the next QTE will have you
pressing (X). He'll make you fight more normal enemies, this time you
need to press B for the QTE. When his life is down, get near him, then
press A, and then (X), and X, Y.

In the next QTE, press DOWN, and then Y. Now break through the
breakable wall, and keep going forward along the path. During this next
QTE, press UP, LEFT, then X. Now you will fight a boss battle.

The boss will split into three, attack all of them, or use your ninja
vision to find the real one and attack him. Keep attacking and
eventually you'll have to QTE. Press DOWN, and continue attacking. When
you've damaged him enough, the boss will go into phase 2. his attacks
are powerful but you can run around the area to dodge them. When he is
close enough, attack. Don't try to figure out which one is the real one
since it'll leave you vulnerable. When his life is gone, go to him and
press A. then press X, X, Y, A, X, (Y), then Y. After that, press
RIGHT, Y, LEFT, UP, RIGHT, X, X, RIGHT, B. Then A, X, Y, A.

After that particularly difficult boss fight, the mission will end.

7. MISSION 7                                                    [NBM07]

You're gonna be on a machine gun again. Use the machine gun, and
missiles on enemies who can't be taken down with the machine gun.
Some enemies shield themselves against gunfire so use missiles on them.
You'll face off against a midboss from earlier stages. Use missiles
to defeat it. When flying monsters appear, shoot them down with the
machine gun. Now you'll be on foot but you'll lose your Ninjutsu.

Go to the left path. Keep going forward and killing the enemies.
Grapple to the platform, then kill the enemies there. Break down the
breakable wall nearby. Kill the enemies on the other side and watch
out for missiles. You'll find a wallrun-able column in the room. Go up
and kill the enemies here. Keep going and drop down, and kill the
enemies, then wallrun up the nearby column. When you get to the top,
use your Ninja Vision to see a wallrun location. Use it and break the
crates at the top for a [[CHI PIECE]]. Run across the nearby bridge
then destroy the barrels for an [[EMBLEM]]. Now drop down to the next
area and kill all the enemies here. Now keep going forward and jump
up to the next platform. Keep going and you'll reach some tunnels.
Jump across the pits and you'll fight a boss.

This boss has a dash attack. After it does it, run in and hit it. It
will then either slash at you or breath poison gas. Dash back when
this happens and then dodge the laser, and the cycle will continue.
Eventually it'll send whirlwinds at you. Keep attacking and downing
the normal enemies. You'll be able to kill it with little trouble.
You'll be thrown back to the beginning of the stage. If you want,
you can go back into the left path. Where you fight the missile
enemies, wallrun up twice, then blow out the nearby flames. Drop down
the pit there and destroy the nearby barrels for a [[HEALTH PIECE]].

Now, use the Cyclone Shuriken to get through the flames, and go in.
Kill the enemies and grapple to the next area. Kill the enemies here
and blow out the fire, and then break through the breakable wall. Go
left, then wallrun forward, and blow out the flames. Kill the enemies
here, then destroy the nearby breakable wall, and break the eggs in
here for a [[CHI PIECE]]. Go back, and grapple to the next platform
and kill the enemy there. Keep going down the path and use the bars
to jump across the pit. You'll see a platform on fire nearby. Blow
out the fire, then grapple onto the platform. Destroy the crates for
the [[SHINOBI MOJI]] as well as the [[CHRYSANTHEMUM AND CHALICE
OUTFIT]]. Now go back and keep going down the path, and kill the
enemies. Keep moving forward and you'll be in a cave. Kill the enemies
and blow out the flames, then go to the next platform to fight a Giant
monster. It's the same as the previous incarnations, plus a few normal
enemies backing it up, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

You're back in the beginning again, go to the last path. Now keep going
forward and kill all the enemies. Grapple to a platform with a plant in
the center, and set it on fire. You'll then be able to destroy a
breakable wall nearby. Keep going and set off the plants as well as
a monster generator as you make your way forward. After a monster
generator, kill a plant. Then in the same room, go through the nearby
breakable wall to find the [[EMBLEM]] in some barrels. Nearby the
fences have a hole you can go thruogh. In the next room you can wallrun
up and destroy the barrels for a [CHI PIECE].

Now keep going forward and kill the enemies here. You'll have to break
through another wall before you can see a plant that you need to set
ablaze. Wallrun-jump to the next platform, then kill all the enemies
here. Put out the nearby flames and keep going forward, eventually you
will have to fight a boss. It will send electric shockwaves at you
which are easily dodged. It can also shoot lasers which damage you a
lot, but is easily avoidable. Right after it shoots the lasers, run in
and hit it. Repeat this cycle.

Now you are back in the beginning and you have another path open to you
now. Press A at the QTE. You'll be at another falling sequence. At the
end of it, press A, then A again. Keep going forward and you'll hit
another boss after a bevy of attacks to dodge. It's the spider boss
from earlier, the same tactics apply. When there is a cutscene, press
X. You'll have to move through the cave again. Another QTE will follow
after more battling, for this you press A. When the boss is nearly
dead, go to it and press A, then X, Y, A, then (A), and X, X, Y, Y. The
final QTE for this mission is A, then Y.

8. MISSION 8                                                    [NBM08]

You'll begin with a QTE. Press A, then A. Afterwards, press A, X, B, X,
X, and Y. Afterwards, press X. Then, press DOWN, and (X). Now you'll be
in control and fighting a boss. Jump over the shockwaves he throws at
you, and block his attacks when you are close, then start attacking. If
a cutscene happens, press (X). Keep attacking, and eventually the boss
will run away.

Break the nearby crate for a [[SHINOBI MOJI]]. More crates nearby hold
an [[EMBLEM]] as well as a [[CHERRY BLOSSOM OUTFIT]]. Go to the hole
the boss jumped through, and press A at the QTE. When you're fighitng
the boss again, just dodge or block his attacks. Another QTE will
happen, press DOWN, A, UP, A. Nearby, there are some barrels. Destroy
them for a [[CHI PIECE]]. Now keep going forward and another QTE will
occur. Press UP, then DOWN. Then press (X). Press (X) again, then Y,
then Y, Y, Y.

You'll be in control now. Kill the normal enemies, and equip the Ninja
Blade. Run to the boss and start smashing into him (start with a dash
attack leading into a regular combo). If you see a cutscene, press X
to get past the QTE. Eventually another QTE will happen. Press Y, then
UP. Then, press A, UP, A, A. Now the boss will use a dashing attack,
which is the best time to hit him. Dodge his attack and keep attacking.
Eventually the boss will vanish and send some normal enemies after you.
Switch out of the Ninja Blade and kill them with normal weapons. After
you kill them all he'll reappear. Repeat the process. When his life is
gone, go to him and press, A, then X, then X, Y, Y to end the fight,
and the mission.

9. MISSION 9                                                    [NBM09]

You are on a machine gun for like the fifth time in the game. Were they
running out of ideas or something? Anyway, keep shooting the enemies
with the machine gun until the worm monsters shows up. Then start using
missiles. After it is dead, go back to using the machine gun on the
normal enemies. You'll fight another worm monster and some flying
monsters. These are easy by now. Now you fight the true midboss. Shoot
missiles at its head, and be sure to shoot down the stuff he throws at
you. If he lifts a boulder up, shoot him in the chest area to make
him drop it. A QTE will eventually occur. Press DOWN, A, DOWN.

You'll now be in control. Laser will shoot down from the sky for a lot
of the level, so be prepared to dodge it at any given moment. Kill the
enemies, and go forward. Wallrun up to the platform and kill the
enemies there. Keep going ahead until you see a breakable wall. Kill
the enemy that comes out and go grapple to the next building. Kill
the enemies here, then use the bars to jump to the next building. Kill
the enemies here, then go to the left and break down the wall there.
Beyond there is an [[EMBLEM]].

Keep moving forward while killing enemies and go to the next building
by grappling. Kill the enemies here. Go to the left up a path to the
platform where the gunmen were. Now go to the next building and keep
going through, and break through the wall. Grab the [[HEALTH PIECE]]
here and return to the last building. Now, Jump down and blow out the
fire here. Grapple to the next building and you'll fight a Giant
enemy again. It'll have some backup, but by this time its attacks are
pretty old hat and you can take it down with no real problems. Now
go to the next building.

Kill the enemies here, move forward, use the bar to jump down, and
kill the enemies there. GO up to the platform and grapple to the next
building after killing the enemies. You'll fight another boss here.
Jump over the shockwave attacks, and attack him. If he makes electric
then avoid them. If he makes fire, run until he stops, put them out,
and then attack him some more. After a while he'll just give up and
start shooting electric bolts at you. Dodge the bolts and keep
attacking him. His attacks from now on is rather straightforward, and
he will eventually start summoning enemies to fight you, but they
should all be easily taken care of. Now, when his life bar is at 0,
go to him, press A, then X, LEFT, Y, A.

Now go down the stairs and then go left. Kill the enemies here, break
through the wall, and keep going while dodging the steam barriers, and
wallrun up to the next platform. Blow out the fire, then grapple, and
then wallrun to the next building. Jump down, and you'll have to avoid
some more steam. After this you'll see a breakable wall. Go through it
and go to the left to find a [[SHINOBI MOJI]]. Cross the nearby bridge
and break through the wall to the next building and you'll find the
[[MAPLE OUTFIT]]. Now, keep going through the next breakable wall.
You'll be swarmed by enemies here, but it's actually not that hard
since they're all weak as hell.

Use the bar to get to the next platform and fight a midboss. Attack it,
and when it goes out of your attack range, prepare to dodge its dashing
attack. When the normal enemies come out, kill them all to make the
midboss come back. Keep attacking the midboss. Eventually it'll start
shooting electricity out. Dodge it, and keep attacking. After it is
defeated, keep going forward. Kill the enemies that follow, and you'll
eventually see a bar to use to get to the next platform. Keep going
forward to fight the boss.

You'll want to wallrun on his blade when he brings it down to get to
the next few platforms. Eventually he'll throw fireballs at you 
(which you can easily dodge), and if he makes a yellow cube thing,
watch out, because he'll start shooting fire. Put out the flames and
strike his hand. He'll also use an electric attack. Avoid it, then
hit his left hand. After a while the boss will start shooting lasers
from his eyes. His head will be in range now, so dodge the lasers
and keep attacking him. When his head is low enough, use the Ninja
Blade to hit him. This will trigger a QTE. Press (A), then LEFT, A,
and X. His pattern is easy to figure out, it's just that it'll take
a while before you whittle down his life bar. When his life is gone,
go to his sword, wallrun, jump towards him, and then press A. Press
X, X, LEFT, X, A, Y, A. Then DOWN at the next QTE.

You'll now have to fight the final boss. Block his attack using the
LT button, then keep attacking with X. Afterwards, switch to the Ninja
Blade and attack. Keep doing this and when his life is gone, go to
him, and press A. Then, press X, Y, and finally, Y. THe boss will
go down and you'll have beaten the game.
