Witch

The witch, she is always an interesting topic, these are my tips on what to do when encountered with her in both campaign and versus. (Presuming you have live players)

Campaign:

Most of the time in campaign the witch is featured in dark out of the way places that you might scourge for an extra pistol, some ammo, or a health pack. Since the AI director puts these valuables next to a witch a lot of the time it raises the question, "Is it worth it"? Now if you are able to go around the witch, then yes of course it is, but if you must engage here to reap the awards, then the best thing to do is to look around and see which teammate has the least health. Get that player as far away as possible from the witch while still being able to shoot her. The shooter should get behind cover immediately after he/she shoots the witch if possible. While the witch runs toward the shooter, the teammates must put all the bullets they can into her before she hits the shooter with her 1-hit incap. This will hopefully prevent loss of health as well as gain you the reward of defeating her.Make sure to have your ears open to the constant crying of the witch.

Versus: While in campaign witches are placed mainly in areas where you dont have to go, in versus witches are placed RIGHT in your way most of the time so that you MUST engage them. The same strategy should be used to take the witch down, the best thing to do is to look around and see which teammate has the least health. Get that player as far away as possible from the witch while still being able to shoot her. The shooter should get behind cover immediately after he/she shoots the witch if possible. While the witch runs toward the shooter, the teammates must put all the bullets they can into her before she hits the shooter with her 1-hit incap. This will hopefully prevent loss of health as well as gain you the reward of defeating her.

That is how to handle the witch in all situations.

Smoker:

Campaign: A smoker in campaign is rather self explanatory really. IF somebody is dragged by a smoker, try to shoot the toung or kill the smoker before the person is dragged to the smoker. If YOU are the one being dragged, then do a quick 180 degree turn to find hiom and shoot you before he makes you hit the ground and rely on friendly assistance. If a smoker gets away, it is best not to pursue him, or you run a great risk of getting jumped by a hunter or vommited on by boomer. Keep your ears open to the sound of the smoker couching and the site of his green cloud of smoke around him.

Versus: If faced against a smoker in versus, the main strategy is the same, IF somebody is dragged by a smoker, try to shoot the toung or kill the smoker before the person is dragged to the smoker. The only differance is that if a hunter is also pouncing somebody while somebody else is being dragged by the smoker, it is more immediat to kill the hunter due to him doing more damage.

Boomer:

Campaign: A Boomer is a very fickle thing. If you ever see a boomer just out of the corner of your eye start sprinting to cover, shoot him, because he has 1/2 the health of regular specials, he can very easily be killed. You want the boomer as far away from you as possible, instead of shooting him at close range, it is best to melee him a couple times (careful because too many melees will kill him and make him explode regardless!) to get him farther away from you, and then shoot him to avoid his exploding bile side-effect. A boomer will usually try to rush you so that he may vommit on you, so always keep your eyes peeled, and your ears honed to his gurgling and burping noises.

Versus: The strategy is exactly the same as campaign, A Boomer is a very fickle thing.

Hunter:

Campaign: A hunter object in campaign is to punish stragglers or people who go ahead. If punced there is nothing you can do, but if you see a hunter trying to pounce you it is best to back up in a corner if possible and hold down the melee button. (LT) This should hopefully hit the hunter mid-pounce, knocking him down and making him easy to shoot and kill. If a player gets jumped by a hunter, he should IMMEDIATLY be assisted beyond all other objectives except for in some cases of when all other players have reached the safe room.

Versus:This is also the same; A hunter object in campaign is to punish stragglers or people who go ahead.

The Hord:

The hord in both campaign and versus are exactly the same. They can be easily taken down but do to the sheer amount of them, are a real pain. I zombie hitting you nearly stops you from walking/running. Try to assist each other as much as possible when it comes to these guys. Somebody surrounded by the horde should be second priorety next to the hunter. Dont let them fool you, they really are a powerful and dangerous force to fight against.
