This guide is designed to get you through the Secret Dungeon known as The
Seraphic Gate. This dungeon is filled with the most vile and powerful monsters
that you will ever encounter in this game. A few other things I will be
including in this guide are: Good farming spots for those oh so hard to get
materials, Detailed Boss Strategies and, Good places to gain many levels and
lots of Fol. It will have a detailed walkthrough floor by floor increasing in
detail as the floors increase in size and difficulty. This is also my first
FAQ/Guide so be gentle.

This is self explanitory. The most Frequently Asked Questions about The Gate.

Q:Where is The Seraphic Gate?
A:The teleporter on the East side of Kolton's castle is the entrance.

Q:Okay, I've found the teleporter but it isnt working what did I do wrong?
A:You must have completed the main story on Normal Difficulty or higher to
access the Seraphic Gate.

Q:What level should I be before entering?
A:If you can defeat the final boss you are at a sufficient level.

Q:How long is the Seraphic Gate?
A:17 total floors with varying difficulty.

Q:Is there a faster way in or out?
A:There is a faster way out which will be explained but after leaving you must
go all the way back inside.

Q:Is there a boss on every floor?
A:No.

Q:Do the bosses ever come back?
A:Sort of. After you defeat the final boss all of the bosses (except a certain
special one) come back.

Q:What do the colors mean when I use a Seeing eye on an enemy?
A:The colors correspond to the 5 elements of this game. In order of appearance
upon using a Seeing Eye or when Connected with Sigmund, Light Blue=Air,
Red=Fire, Yellow/Brown=Earth, White=Aether, Dark Blue/Black=Water. I will have
a number next to each element in this guide. Keep in mind that the bigger
this number is the more effective or more damage it does to the enemy.
NOT the other way around.

Q:How do I open Locked Chests?
A:You need to connect with either Vic or Komachi to unlock them.

Q:How do I break rocks that you can target?
A:Connect with Balbagon and use Giga Tackle or connect with Gustav and use
Explosive Ride.

Q:How do I open those out of reach chests?
A:Connect with Komachi and use Honeysuckle, taget the chest, shoot it.

Q:I get/got different EXP/Fol from killing a monster! Your guide's information
is wrong! Why is this?
A:The EXP/Fol that enemies gives is different for each kill. I do not know
what plays a role in determining these things so the values that I give you
are rounded values as this is the only way to "nail it down".

Q:My characters wont heal me, why?
A:This is due to a hidden stat that we will call the "Emotion" Stat. Doing
various things will alter it for good or bad which will effect how a character
reacts to Capell. Letting them Vermify and using Perfume of Suspicion will
effect it in a negative way. Feeding them Foods in their Palete that they like
and using Charming Perfume will effect it in a positive way.

Q:Whers is Gustav I can't find him!?
A:He's not in the Seraphic Gate!

Enemies Encountered Here:

Blue Drogo Warrior: 17,000, 20,400, 30,600
Air 100, Fire 100, Aether 250, Earth 100, Water 50
EXP 2,400 Fol 1,800
Crescent Blade, Lizard Skin, Lizard Wristband, Braveheart

Tiger Rachnuvus: 20,000, 24,000, 36,000
Air 100, Fire 250, Aether 100, Earth 50, Water 100
EXP 2,000 Fol 1,500

Air 100, Fire 100, Aether 100, Earth 100, Water 100
EXP 500 Fol 500
Laurel, Antidote, Rachnuvus Cloth, Rachnuvus Shell, Toadstool

You should immediately recognize this place upon entering it. That's right
it's the prison from the beginning however this time your going down instead
of up. The enemies here aren't too tough and it's pretty straight forward.
Descend the stairs killing everything you see until you finally come to meet a
familiar face! That's right it's good ole Vembert! Now it's time for your
first boss battle in The Seraphic Gate.

Vembert:340,000, 408,000, 612,000
Air 100, Fire -100, Earth 100, Aether 150, Water 250
13,600 EXP 10,000 Fol
Maestro's Baton

First thing you should note is that his Brandishbane attack really hurts but
if you time Grinn Valesti right you dont have to worry too much. Do not be
afraid to back out an heal/revive if you need to. He is weak to water so
equipping the Aqua Blade will make this fight a breeze.

For defeating him you are rewarded with a Maestro's Baton! A very nice weapon
for Rico but not his best.

After getting some much over due revenge on Vembert, open the two chests
before entering the teleporter to get your hands on a Sacrificial Doll and
a Memoirs of A Warrior. Step into the Teleporter and it's on to Floor 2!

Welcome to the Second Floor! Looks familiar doesn't it? Well that's what The
Gate is just a color swapped version of the real world. Anyway from the
teleporter head around the rocks to your left and take a right when the path
opens. You should see a Gigas much like the last boss wandering around in the
distance. He is standing next to a teleporter do no take this teleporter just
yet. Instead head over to the other opening on the other side of the dunes.

From here continue forward through the dunes then after you pass through the
opening veer to the right to find yet another winner of The Vembert
Look-A-Like contest. He too is guarding a teleporter. Waste him then step into
the teleporter.

NOTE: I HIGHLY recommend that you use the first 2 floors to gain levels until
you are around level 80 or so before entering this teleporter. It also helps
immensely to have your enchanting maxed out as this fight is tough.

Before you even enter make sure you are at LEAST level 80. Also make sure that
you Enchant 2 6% HP Regeneration and 1 or 2 ATK +1000 on Capell. If you dont
have the materials to do so any of the lower enchants will do.

You aren't given much of a heads up but, hey look who it is! It's Sigmund!
He's not here for tea and crumpets though, you must Kung Fu Fight!

Shadow Sigmund: 130,000, 156,000, 234,000
Air 100, Fire 100, Earth 100, Aether 100, Water 100
15,000 EXP 50,000 Fol

This is one tough fight. Essentially the idea here is to survive and pick
your shots. A good way to do this is to use Grinn Valesti since he will mimic
you when you use it. If you enchanted like I told you to you should be fine.
However it is still possible to beat him without enchants. The main idea is
to avoid his main attack, Alfheim, as it is VERY damaging and will likely kill
you quickly. If you remain mobile and abuse Grinn Valesti you should come out
victorious!

For defeating Sigmund you do not get a nice piece of gear (Sort of). Instead
you are rewarded with him rejoining the party! Yay! Congratulations on the
achievement if this is your first time defeating him. Before returning to
Floor 2 form your party then check around the back of the area where you
fought Sigmund to find 2 chests containing a Gold Berry Potion and a Pius
Wood. Now that "Big Daddy's Back" return to Floor 2.

Before venturing on into the next Floor I recommend that you take a trip back
outside and pilfer the wonderous gear that Sigmund rejoins you with. The
weapon that he holds is very very good. You should also Rest/Save/Stock up on
healing stuff and Miraculous Maedicines while you're on the outside.

Anyway on to the second floor. This time you should take advantage of some
of the "hidden" chests around. The first chest is very well disguised, it is
located inside the sandstorm cyclone thing that is close to Sigmund's
teleporter. You need Komachi's Honeysuckle to get it, inside is an Avifir
Headdress.

The other chest is behind a breakable rock that Balbagon or Gustav can break,
it is by the teleporter that you are ignoring. Inside of it is a piece of
Atlantis Metal. After collecting your goodies take the teleporter I previously
told you to ignore.

would be boss Number 3. Wait for him to move farther to the left before
charging him. Once he's a ways off take out the Harpys and the Gigas on the
path this will make your life easier.

When you're ready engage him and get ready for another tough fight.

Wyvern: 500,000, 600,000, 900,000
Air 100, Fire -50, Earth 100, Aether 100, Water 250
26,000 EXP 22,000 Fol
Hrotti

Well as you might be able to tell fire heals him so avoid any fire element
weapons as they will heal him. First and foremost, STAY AWAY FROM THE TAIL
sometimes it can't be avoided but try to stay away from it. His attacks are
very damaging. Be mobile again and try like hell to dodge Dragg Shot when
he starts using it. Another attack to watch out for is Dragg Geyser
he will make fire shoot out of the ground it also is very damaging. You can
avoid almost all of his attacks by being mobile. So do not be afraid to
revive/heal if necessary. From time to time he will take flight and fly
just above you this is when you must abandon damaging him to avoid his
constant Dragg Geyser. After he lands repeat the process using Grinn
Valesti and avoiding his tail and fire. This is a tough fight so if you are
having trouble even using my strategy I suggest you go use floors 1 and 2
to level up more.

After emerging victorious you are rewarded with the very nice Hrotti for
Edward.

Phew! Now that that's over with you can explore this new floor. First order
of business is to hit the chest that's out of reach to get your hands on
some Lubricus Cloth. After that run around the rock formation to the left
and open the Chest to receive the very nice Saruleus Helmet.

After you collect your goodies if you have Balbagon or Gustav in your party
you can fight a mimic, it is behind the breakable rock. After you've had your
fill proceed to the next teleporter it is over by the forest.

NOTE: If you plan on making the books that teach the hidden Spells/Skills or
making ANY Memoirs or, anything else that requires Genius Quills this is the
place to farm for Dragon Fangs. The Snakes here drop them, you get the
best results from surprise attacks of course. You can also get Fangs in the
Plodhif Caverns.

Ah yes the Lumpers are back! This time they are quite a bit stronger but
nothing you can't handle. Upon entering follow the path killing everything you
see eventually you will notice a door on your right just before the elevator.
Open this door to fight a Mimic if you wish. Anyway continue and take the
elevator on down to the next level.

Run forward and open the door ignore this first elevator for now and round the
corner to fight another pack oh Lumpers. Run out along the little wooden
bridge to your right and play Percipere to reveal a hidden chest containing a
Sarnga bow.

Return to the Elevator you were previously ignoring and ride it up.
First head straight and up the stairs to grab some Dragon Hide inside of the
locked chest. After collectiong the hide, run down the stairs and head to
right.

You'll notice 2 doors side by side and a teleporter at the end of the hallway.
WATCH OUT because as soon as you pass that second door a group of
opportunistic Lumpers will come out and attempt to get the jump on you. Lucky
you have me huh? :P Anyway I highly recommend you stay here and level up a
little. It will help you in the floors to come. When you're done return to the
first door. Open the door, ride the elevator down and step into the
teleporter.

NOTE: The mines are a very good place to increase your levels and make money.
Killing the Lumpers constantly and selling their weapon drops will make you
a nice chunk of change. It should also be noted that this is a great place
to farm Placidus Wood from the Lumper Dukes.

Compulsive Note: If you're going for Compulsive you must have farmed up the
unique items that these Lumpers Drop. You can also make them but it's a little
more complicated then that. Look for the full information in the Advanced Tips
section.

richie259 breaks down which Lumper drops what rather well. Here is the
breakdown for quick reference:

(All of these are 8% drop chance on surprise attack)

Lumper Baron: Servant of Jacks
Lumper Count: Coin of Diamonds

Yay it's Port Zala! Oh wait never mind. The enemies here aren't too tough
especially if you took my advice and leveled up in the Lumper area.

Run along beach and kill the guards and fishies by the stairs. After that run
up the stairs and make a left to make short work of the lone fish thats out
on the port and continue on down the path untill you reach the edge. That's
right, you know what that sound means! Play Percipere to reveal a hidden
chest containing an Avifir Garb.

Turn around and head into the town. Make a left at the fountain and continue
down the alley. Kill the poor fish that was guarding the alley and look up to
the right. On top of the ledge is yet another one of those out of reach chests.
Hit it with Komachi to get a Dragon Scale. After collecting the scale return
to the fountain area but BE CAREFUL if you engage the fish on your left
because there are archers further down with ridiculous range. They WILL get
the surprise on you if you don't dodge the arrows. Head towards the group and
waste them.

Return yet again to the fountain area but this time run further toward the
dock and make a right back to the warehouse area. Continue on down and make a
left. Be ready as there is another group of Order lackeys down here with a
couple fishies. Waste them then open the door to the warehouse on the Left and
draw your weapon. As soon as you enter there is another group of Order
lackeys. Destroy them.

Exit the warehouse and enter the door opposite where you just left to find
another teleporter. Make sure you're at 100% then enter it.

NOTE: Before entering I suggest that you be no less than level 90.

Air 100, Fire 100, Earth 250, Aether 100, Water -50
1,700 EXP 1,500 Fol
Sliced Rare Salmon, Sliced Salmon, Ring of Heart

After entering this is your last chance to heal up without any fuss. So if
you didn't do it when I told you to please do it now. You should also ecnhant
Earth Attack on your melee fighters as it will help immensely. Continue along
the path and through the archway to come face to face with the next Boss!

Leviathan: 425,000, 510,000, 765,000
Air 100, Fire 100, Earth 250, Aether 100, Water -50
28,000 EXP 25,000 Fol
Moon Blade

Bad news, he comes with Fish cronies. Good news, he's not very hard. First
thing you should watch out for is his Octosquid Blast, it will Blind you and
unless your on acid that's not a good thing. Also watch out for Crack 'n
Charge as it does a fairly high amount of damage. When you see him getting
ready to do Tentacles, GET AWAY FROM HIM. This attack doesn't hurt but it has
A LOT of hits and can be potentially deadly in a bad situation. Remember, the
key to all boss battles in this place is knowing when to dodge what attacks.
Just stay away from the Tentacles, sidestep the Charge and, dodge the Blast
and, you can't lose. So pony up with them Grinn Valestis and have yourself
some fried squid.

For defeating the squid you get your hands on the very nice Moon Blade for Vic
that has a Life Drain effect.

After cooking the squid Bobby Flay style, head directly south from the
"chain link" and open the chest behind the rock formation to recieve a
Memoirs of a Knight. After grabbing that reutrn to the Port Zala Floor.
Continue through the Port Zala floor and make your way back to the mines.

Also take the time to pick up anything you missed. I HIGHLY suggest you
stay here again and level some more because the next 2 bosses are quite
challenging.

After you're finished head to the path with the 2 doors but, don't forget!
Those Lumpers have respawned and will still try and pull a fast one! Enter the
teleporter at the end of the hallway.

This floor, just like it's regular counterpart, can be VERY confusing. Don't
worry I'll get you through it.

Assume now that the way your facing leaving the telporter is North. Keep that
in mind. FROM the teleporter head north through the first set of trees to the
second set of trees and look to your left to find 2 crushable rocks.
You should know by now who does this but I'll tell you again. Use Balbagon or
Gustav to break them. Behind here is a Mimic kill it and move on. Exit the
enclave where the mimic was and make a right, you are now facing south.

Go back to the first tree formation make left and watch out for the Alraune.
After dispatching the Alraune continue east untill you come to another group
of trees. From here make a right (South for those paying attention :P)
continue along until you hit another grouping of trees and make a left and at
the next set of trees you should see another group of crushable rocks off to
the right. Crush them! No Mimic this time just some Empyrean Cloth!

After collecting your useful cloth exit the enclave and make a left at the
grouping of trees. Continue on until the next set of trees and make a right.
After you hit the next set of trees press on to the north and make a right to
find a familiar face. That's right it's your old friend the Chimera, he's
going by a different name these days but he's still the same old Chimera.
Enchant Water Attack on your melee fighters before you approach him to make
your life easier.

Peluda: 350,000, 420,000, 630,000
Air 100, Fire -50, Earth 100, Aether 100, Water 250
30,000 EXP 26,000 Fol
Sabris Claws

I recommend being no less then 95.

This fight is used so much in the game that you should be a pro at it by now
but I wouldn't be doing a very good job if I threw you to him with just that
huh? Anyway this fool has 2 things you need watch out for. The biggest is
his Charge attack it HURTS especially on the higher difficulties to dodge it
you simply must pay attention for when it says Charge at the top of the screen
then start running in an attempt to side step it. You wont dodge it everytime
but all you have to do is live long enough for the next heal. The second
attack you need to look out for is Snakesnap, he will stop and take a breath
or 2 which is your queue to GET AWAY from him. He does have an open spot when
he does this and it's on HIS front right side AFTER the snake makes 2 full
sweeps. Take advantage of this by timing Grinn Valesti with the sweeping of
the snakes. Remember though this attack is like Leviathan's Tentacles, it's
not overly damaging but it has many hits and can be potentially deadly if you
just took one of his patented Charges. Stick to my strategy and you can't lose
especially if you enchanted right before stepping in.

Once Peluda is pushing up daisies you get your hands on the Sabris Claws!
A very nice set of claws for Gustav.

After sending Peluda to an early grave get your bearings back by finding the
energy wall. Once you've located it make a note that while looking AT it you
are facing East. Spin to your left and you're now facing north. Press on to
the north passed a lone tree, a grouping of trees, another lone tree and
finally, the group of trees you are looking for! Keep heading north to find
another group of breakable rocks (picking up on the pattern yet?) Break them
and reap your reward, a Gold Berry Potion. Now turn around and head south
through the grouping of Trees you just came through and passed the lone tree.
You will now be at another grouping of trees make a left (east) and continue
on to the next grouping of trees and make yet another left (North) keep on
going straight and you are home free! Take the teleporter.

This floor is very straight forward and linear. As soon as you enter the area
take the path and turn the corner but BE READY as there is a big group of
Order lackeys waiting for you. Kill them off but do not proceed unless you
are at least 100 with store bought gear from upgraded Halgita or BETTER.
If you are not level 100 or better I STRONGLY URGE you to go back to
the Nolaan Floor killing all that you see then returning here and killing
the group of Leonid Fanboys then repeating the process until you reach my
recommendation.

For those that are 100 or better Read on. Before entering enchant your party

Yes you read right he has a TON of HP. He's also by far THE hardest boss you
have ever faced in this game. First and foremost he has a wide variety of
spells and attacks that he is going to throw at you. When he casts
Aerwhirl GET AWAY from him as he is about to send a cyclone your way and it
hurts so be wary. When he casts Geocrush STAY AWAY from the boulder this is
probably his most damaging attack so if you couldn't do an Anti-Earth enchant
STAY AWAY from this boulder or you're going to be taking A LOT of damage.
When he casts Hydrill you need to MOVE because they have a homing effect but
you can dodge them. If you think you aren't going to be able to dodge them you
can run straight underneath of them BEFORE they actually leave position.
He has a fire spell called Pyreburst if he casts this you need to MOVE as the
area around you is about to burst with flames as you probably could've figured
from the spell's name. :P If he casts Astroluminus on you that puts a death
timer on you and this can be deactivated with Prudentiae however if you fail
to remove the timer the Orbs will cast Udyn which will bring the timer
immediatly to 0 blowing you and everyone around you up and likely killing
you in the process so, if this happens BURN DOWN THE ORBS then play Prudentiae
or else you die and you will take anyone around you with you. Just to let you
know when he is casting a spell Red underneath of him means an Orb is coming,
Blue means a Spell is coming. When you see Noble Play GET AWAY from him because
it is moderatly damaging and has many hits and it WILL kill you if you're not
over leveled or you dont have really good gear. He will also cast Hydrain when
this happens GET OUT OF THE RAIN. It is essentially the spell form of Noble
Play and you know what that means. Now as you've probably noticed after
fighting him for 2 seconds he likes to teleport just like in all the other
tri-Ace games he was in. It's not really a big deal but if you are having
trouble staying on top of him pull him out into the hallway where you came in
and his mobility will suffer greatly however so will yours when it comes to
dodging his attacks so do this at your own risk. So as you've probably figured
out most of his attacks are potentially deadly but can be dodged if need be.
Most important thing in this fight is Prudentiae and staying mobile. Pick your
shots and do not be afraid to heal or revive if you need to. You're also going
to have to throw some MP recovery Items out during some point unless you're
overleveled or have MP regeneration enchants/gear. Keep up the pressure on him
and MAKE DAMN SURE that those Orbs go down as fast as possible because once
you get him passed half of his life he starts teleporting faster and spawning
obs faster not to mention using Noble Play A LOT more. So stick to your guns,
be mobile and, crush those orbs ASAP and you'll come out victorious. For
defeating the little squirt you get your hands on the VERY nice book "Genesis".
Congratulations you earned it.

After beating tri-Ace's career "second to last hardest" boss venture in to the
door that he was previously blocking to happen upon 2 chests. The right one
contains The very nice Nighthawk double daggers for Komachi that have "Strange
noise" and the left one contains a bottle of Charming Perfume. Considering
that Gabriel was guarding this stuff I wonder what he had planned for perfume
and cursed daggers that make strange noises??? Oh well, one can only wonder.
Continue to the right and step into the teleporter.

NOTE: This floor has one very very useful metal up for farming purposes for
those of you not playing with the A Voucher from Xbox Live. That's right boys
and girls, Amarlista can be farmed on this floor VERY easily. I'll even tell
you how to do it. Simply Teleport up from Genma's Floor and try to surprise
the group of Leonid Fanboys, if you don't it doesn't matter, kill them before
the little timer in the top left of the screen runs out. Afterwards return to
Genma's Floor and repeat the process. You can also gain quite a few levels if
you want here, even all the way up to 255! So use this spot wisely.

Feet of Saruleus

Enemies Encountered Here: None (Praise Veros! Just kidding....)

I know what you're saying at this point. Bring 'em on! I just ripped Gabriel
apart! Well my friend you are.............. not in luck because this floor has
no enemies it only has a familiar face with all his old tricks at your
disposal. Not to mention the first and only save point inside of the Gate. Oh
and those 4 treasure chest that you've probably been thinking about while
reading this :P .

Anwyay the chests from left to right contain: a piece of Amarlista, a piece of
Atlantis Metal, some Pius Wood and, last but certainly not least The Feet of
Saruleus!

After you've got your goodies rest and save. Take care of anything else you
need to (Bathroom break, walk your dog, yell at your neighbors etc.). Just for
your reference there a total of 4 teleporters here. If you are Standing and
FACING Genma the teleporter on your right will take you back to Gabriel's
Floor, The Teleporter on your left will take you to the Undead/Castle Valette
Floor. If you head up the stairs BEHIND Genma and open the door, the
teleporter on down the right hallway will take you back to Kolton
(This is the quick exit I mentioned in the FAQ) The left hallway leads to an
empty room... and the teleporter directly in front of you inside the door
leads to the Graad Woods Floor.

Now that you know the layout of this floor and what leads to where enter the
teleporter to Kolton IF you wish just keep in mind that you have to come ALL
THE WAY back down except the bosses never come back (Unless of course you have
completed the Gate) and that is what we would call a good thing. After
finishing up whatever you were taking care of take the teleporter that leads
to the Undead/Castle Valette Floor.

NOTE: By now you should have the materials to make yourself Capell's Ultimate
Weapon, The Azureal Blade. It requires a Gram (Aqua Blade, 3 Atlantis Metal,
and 1 Quartz-Storm Gigas drop these) The Emblazoned Sword and 2 Amarlista.
Make it if you can or go back and farm what you need as it will help a lot in
the floors to come. After you have made it congratulations on the
achievement(if it's your first one). Continue on after you have finished.

Upon entering you are presented with 2 paths. Do not go left just yet. Instead
take the right path down the stairs. You are immediately greeted by an undead
welcoming crew. Waste them and continue on. Run up the stairs and hang a left
kill the skeletons and press on down the hallway making a right at the end.

Yet again another group of skeletons awaits you. After killing them off you
have 2 paths to choose from. Keep heading straight the door on your right has
nothing inside. After exiting the room you are presented with 2 paths yet
again, this time head right follow the hallway down and hang a left to run
into more skeletons. Kill them then hang a right and open the door. After
opening the door open the chest to get your hands on some Claridian Medicine.
Proceed back outside and enter the path on the right. This is your first
encounter with a potentially deadly enemy.

Flying Swords pose a problem because they can and will keep you from doing
anything until you die if you aren't mobile enough to get away from them. So
get used to fighting them as they show up a lot and are useful for farming
pursposes which will be explained later but you knew that already huh?

Anyway continue on down the path and hang a left around the corner, then a
right and press on into the next big room. After dispatching the skeletons
head further in and make a right. After going passed the rubble of the caved
in ceiling make a right then a left and continue on untill you run into
another pack of skeletons. Crush them then return back to the teleporter that
brought you here.

After treking back take the left path this time but make sure you clean up the
skeleton mess before you venture into the familiar looking door. Yes it's the
dreaded door maze but this time it's WAY different, you can enter any door you
want however the maze's area is only a 5X5 Square meaning there are a total of
25 rooms and, only one of them contains the exit.

This can be and is very confusing however I'm here to help you out with this
sorta thing. FROM the entrance follow these directions and try not to lose
your bearings.

FROM the entrance: Right, Left, Straight, Straight, Straight then, Straight
once again to exit. The path leading out looking like this:

        *Exit

Entrance

That wasn't so bad was it? Now upon entering this room you may notice the
familiar giant eye ball floating around the room. Try to get the jump on him
and kill him. Don't worry about the little skeletons that come after you they
don't hurt as bad as he does. After taking care of Atro clean up the room and
take the exit on the left side. Take out the group of skeletons and make a
right, blow up the poor little lantern and make another right followed by
making a left and continuing through the room and finally at the end make a
right.

In the hallway you run into more of those bothersome skeletons and magical
flying swords show up, do what you do then continue on. Continue heading
straight until you happen upon a room with 2 doors, a little one and a big
one, open the smaller door on the left and draw your sword. Surprise! It's a
crapload of skeletons! That's nothing that a well placed Grinn Valesti can't
handle though. After reducing them to rubble exit and take the bigger door.

This time the smaller door is on the right open it and draw your sword. Yeah
I'm sure you already see it coming the chest on your right is in fact a Mimic.
Avoid the Smoke and rip him apart. Open the chest to receive an Okedo Taiko
Drum for Rucha. Exit and continue through the big door. This is yet another
room with a big door and little door however there isn't anything inside the
little door except empty space so continue on through the big door.

Upon entering make a right and follow the linear path killing everything you
see. Eventually you will come to a door. Inside of it is.... you guessed it
another boss!

This guy look familiar? Yep your right it's good ole Envy he's just going by a
different name much like your old friend Chimera. He's got a few new tricks up
his sleeve this time around and he kept all of his old ones. First and
foremost you need to watch getting close to him when the Foragers are around
him because he will lunge forward and follow you while they are spinning
causing moderate damage but the damage ins't the problem it's the actual
number of hits involved that is. Much like Leviathan's Tentacles and Gabriel's
Noble Play. This is different however, when he spawns them you need to use
Grinn Valesti on them ASAP so the actual number of hits goes down with less
swords. Get the idea? When he uses Deadly Words simply move out of the way it
does not home and is easily avoided. When he uses Astrobeam your going to have
to use Grinn Valesti to avoid the damage but it isnt overly damaging so you
don't have to worry too much. Overall it's a really easy fight. Just stay
with him, get in his face and take out the swords with Grinn Valesti while
dodging Deadly Words. Keep that in mind and he's pretty much a big skeletal
kitten. For defeating him you receive the Discipline Staff for Eugene.

After killing him you'll probably notice the absence of a teleporter. That
means you have to trek back to Genma's floor. Do so and I will continue the
walkthrough from there.

NOTE: This place is VERY useful for gaining levels and farming 2 rather hard
to come by materials. Amarlista and Quartz both drop here from the Flying
Swords. Since there are so many enemies here this makes for a great leveling
spot and farming spot. Use this floor wisely.

After you enter you should quickly pick up on the fact that this is The
Seraphic Gate's version of Graad Woods. From the teleporter head straight and
veer to the right to encounter your first set of new enemies. Squish them and
move on. Continue down the path rounding the corner to the right and pressing
on kill the lone Garm and continue. Round the corner to the left and play
exterminator yet again, get used to it cause there's a lot of them suckers
around. Afterwards continue along the path and kill all that you see.

Eventually you will come to a crossroads of sorts. After killing the Garm and
any of his friends who decide to jump in run to the right and open the locked
chest to receive a Sabris Garb. Afterwards turn around and take care of the
familiar face Mandragora standing guard here. Continue on down the path and
over the bridge and make a right after squashing more bugs. After killing the
Garm veer to the left and continue along the path. After squishing even more
bugs round the corner make a right at the end of the path, continuing along
make a left and squish the spiders then press on down the path. You know what
that sound means! It's Gigas time!

Don't get excited though he's not a boss. Rip him apart and continue along the
path. Kill more bugs then continue to fight another pack of Garms and another
Hill Gigas. You can start to see a pattern right? Well don't go away on me
just yet! Anyway after killing the Garms and Gigas turn around and run up to
the would be treasure chest and kill the mimic. Turn around and continue along
the path round the corner to the left and kill the gigas. Press on veering to
the left as you run along. Kill the bugs and Gigas then continue, veer to the
right. After killing the bugs round the corner to the right and kill the
Garms.

Continue along killing and squishing untill you come to another crossroads.
Take a left and run down the path. You should see a lone tree and you know
what that noise means! Play Percipere to reveal a hidden chest containing a
Magic Amplia.

Continue on doing what you do best. Eventually you will come to a clearing
where there are 3 Hill Gigas' my advice for this would be to try and seperate
them because 3 of them together can pose a serious problem if you're
underleveled. After the big 3 have bit the dust step into the teleporter.

After entering follow the extremly linear Path killing off everything along
the way but, make sure to not get overwhelemed because the Lifestealers come
in BIG packs so time that Grinn Valesti just right or take it slow and out
maneuver them. There are also Scorpions that will jump in, they are rather
slow so avoid them accordingly.

When you are finished ascend the stairs and take whichever side you wish but
make sure you are 100% and that your melee fighters are enchanted with Earth
Weapon before going too far because it's Boss Time!

He comes with buddies so try and take them out ASAP. His Posion Rain attack
absolutely NEEDS to be dodged as it is very damaging and as you probably
figured poisons you. Also SATY AWAY FROM HIS HEAD Killer Bite is nothing to
trifle with even on Normal it can crit for OVER 20,000 damage. When he goes
into his shell you need to run back to the way you came up or up the little
set of stairs in front of where Saruleus was to avoid the damage. If you
don't you risk getting killed. The trick to beating him is taking advantage of
his massive body size and some what slow speed. Get behind him or on the
sides of him and spam Grinn Valesti like there's no tomorrow. Just avoid the
head, Jet Spin and, Poison Rain while maintaing a positional advantage on him
and you can't lose. One last thing, as I've said many times in this guide
already, DO NOT be afraid to step back and heal/revive if you need to. For
defeating him you get the very nice Karathos Suit which has a HP +10% and ATK
+5% Bonus along with very good defense. Well earned.

After making yourself some turtle soup run up to the door he was previously
guarding and open it to reveal a teleporter don't take it just yet though
because on both sides of it lurk treasure chests. The left contains a Genius's
Quill, the right contains a Gold Berry Powder. After collecting your well
earned goodies step into the teleporter.

This is yet another very linear floor. Just as a warning the enemies on this
floor are much stronger then any normal enemies you have encountered thus
far. Step off of the teleporter and make a left around the corner to
encounter your first set of new enemies. Yay, more Leonid Fanboys. Keep
heading straight and round the corner to the left again and press on.

Eventually you'll see a door on your left enter it, look out because there's
a couple of Rockshell crabs waiting for you. Keep in mind that you pretty
much have to solo fight them because they will keep submerging underground.
There is a better way to deal with them though, they stick out of the
ground just a little bit while submerged so, if you can avoid their front side
you can avoid the ambush and hit them from behind while they're submerged.
After cooking the crabs exit the way you came in and hang a left, continue
down the hall.

Eventually you'll come to a crossroads, hang a right and use a Sunstone to
help you navigate in the darkness. Continuing through the darkened hallway
you should be able to see the gargoyles rather easily even without a
Sunstone. Follow the hallway down killing everything you happen upon then
make a right at the end.

Continue down the stairs and around to the right to run into a pack of
gargoyles and an opportunistic Rockshell Crab. Smash them to bits(literally)
then continue on down the path making a right at the end, beat down the
Leonid Fanboys and keep following the path. Eventually you'll see 2 more
Leonid Fanboys standing alone, BE CAREFUL as the room you are about to enter
is filled with the Fanboys and 3 Dancing Crossbows you need to be able to
assess threat from here on out but this time I'll do it for you. :P

The Crossbows are the bigger threat simply because they can roll off damage
really fast to almost your entire party which can be deadly. So in short BURN
DOWN THE CROSSBOWS. Alternativly, you can enchant yourself with "Auto-Guard
100% No Attack" and let your party pound them if they are a problem for you.

After clearing the room round the corner to the left and make a right but be
careful because awaiting you here are about 5 more Crossbows and Leonid
Fanboys to boot. After killing them keep heading straight down the hallway
then make a right, deal with the enemies, and continue, ignoring the door on
your right which has nothing in it.

Further down the hallway you will come to "3" locked chests the right contains
a piece of Atlantis Metal, the middle is a Mimic, the left contains
The Symphony Notaions! After collectiong your goodies continue going down the
hall ignoring the big door that leads no where. Make a note that the next room
on your right contains a teleporter ignore it for now though.

Make a right at the end of the hallway but BE CAREFUL because your about to
meet a big pack of crossbows and Leonid Fanboys. Run around the corner at the
end of the hallway and continue towards the "chest" and when it reveals what
it really is kill it. Now return to the teleporter you were previously
ignoring and step into it.

NOTE: This is a very good spot for farming Quartz, Crystalite Metal and,
Mercurius Metal. You can also gain as many levels as you want here even all
the way to 255 if you desire. Not to mention with the 2 Mimics here, you can
get the achievement "Filthy Rich" rather fast the strategy for this is in the
Farming Section. Use this spot wisely.

As soon as you get off the teleporter open the door and draw your weapon but
be ready because there are 2 Order Lackies awaiting you just outside. After
dealing with them head left and take out the Spiders but watch out for the
Sorceresses just down the stairs as they will likely try to get the jump on
you.

Descend the stairs taking out whatever you see making a right then continuing
down. After hitting the bottom go through the door and take care of the
welcoming party then descend the next set of stairs to meet a new foe, The
Narbear, kill him off and keep going. After reaching the bottom make a right
around the railing and kill the mimic. Open the chest to receive a Seven-Star
Blade.

Kill the 2 Chiefs but BE READY because there is a BIG group of enemies
coming up the stairs. After handling that descend the stairs killing the bear
then making a right and going down the next set of stairs but be careful the
next set of enemies needs to have it's group of casters taken out FIRST
because of the limited area of this hallway they can kill you quickly with
their earth spells. After they're dealt with make a right and head down the
hallway.

Take out the group of Drogos and Sorceresses then make sure you are
at 100% then take the door on the right to reveal a Boss!

Okay this fight is tough. He is basically Iskan du Bal from the Underwater
Palace but this time he ate his wheaties and some one put steroids in 'em!
That being said he also summons Faespheres. He has a multitude of attacks.
False Regalia can be avoided as it takes a while for him to actually launch it.
Avoid it at all costs. The Spheres will cast Crushing Cube which is a weaker
Geocrush, however you still need to avoid it, They will also cast Geoclaw
which you can't do much about just eat the damage and keep going. They also
cast buffs on him so you need to burn down those spheres ASAP or else they
will kill you with their spells and make him stronger. When you see Flickering
Sphere pop up that means GET AWAY FROM HIM because he will make the ground
rise around him doing a fairly high amount of damage. His regular melee swing
hurts but not too bad. He also has Grinn Valesti which you should know to
avoid as you've probably done it so many times by now that you'll see it
coming and take it from me, getting hit by HIS Grinn Valesti is not a good
idea. Crestfallen is an attack that will create an outward spray of energy
this does a moderate amount of damage but still needs to be avoided. Heraldric
Edge means GET BEHIND HIM or else your taking in the upwards of 12k to 15k
which is NOT a good idea. Avoid his attacks as best you can and stay on top of
his Spheres and make sure they go down quick. Do this and you can not lose.
For defeating this highly skilled Knight you are rewarded with an Executioner.

Don't step in that teleporter just yet! Instead head to the base of the statue
and play Percipere to reveal a hidden chest containing a Divinity! Don't
leave just yet though head back outside and topple the Mini-boss Doogadoala,
say that 3 times fast I bet you'll sound goofy, he's not too rough just take
out his pet bears then burn him down. What a lucky Gigas, he gets 2 pet bears
and I don't even have one. :( Anyway once you're finished step into the
teleporter.

NOTE: I HIGHLY recommend that you use this floor and the previous floor to
level up to level 200 at least then, return to Genma's floor to
rest/save/stock up before continuing. Trust me on this one you already know
I'll tell you why. :)

Items Obtained on this Floor: Sabris Boots, Tri-Emplem, Halgitian Paper,
Dragon Meat, Celestial Sword, Tri-Emblem

Enemies Encountered Here: None

Equipment recommendation: Keep in mind that this is the final floor for a
reason and you aren't going to have time to prepare. So I HIGHLY recommend
that you come in wearing some sort of Anti-Magic or Fire Resistance equipment
as it will help A LOT. Good Examples of these include but aren't limited to:
Hydra Armor, Eclipse Leggings, Salamander Leather set. Anti-Ailment is also
vital to your survival for the end of the end of this floor.

Upon entering open the familiar looking door and make your way in. Open the
chest on your left to pick up a pair of Sabris Boots, continue to the next
door and open it. Procced to the next door and, you guessed it, open it. After
entering open the chest on your right to receive the tri-Ace mainstay
Tri-Emplem. After collecting the crap-emplem proceed further. Open the door
and proceed up the stairs you'll come to a door and 2 chests. Don't open that
door just yet my friend.

First grab the chest on the left that contains Halgitian Paper and on the
right that contains some Dragon Meat.

Now before you open this door make sure you are enchanted with +6% HP regen
all around and ANYTHING else you feel is necessary. If you haven't saved I
suggest you back track to rest up and save because after you open this door
there is no coming back unless you win.

Now when you're full prepared open the door yet again, don't worry this is the
last door I promise!, to reveal a familiar face!! It's boss time!

Leonid 1,800,000, 2,160,000, 3,240,000
50,000 EXP 15,000 Fol
Air 100, Fire 100, Earth 50, Aether 100, Water 50
Celestial Sword

Yep you read right he's got A LOT of HP. When you see him do VIIth Violation
STAY AWAY FROM HIM or else you die from the multiple hits that do moderate
damage, this would be the ultimate form of Leviathan's Tentacles. When he
casts Pyrdance GET AWAY FROM HIM unless you have some sort of fire resistant
armor. When he does ZERO Revolution run and don't stop because he's going to
aim a HUGE ball of energy at you that HURTS, it can be avoided if you run in
a circle around the platform. You should have gotten this down the time you
fought him before you fought Veros, so if this is causing you trouble I
implore you to venture back into the Underwater palace and practice because it
will save your life. XIIIth Word means he's about to send chains into the
ground that WILL hit you unless you are a good distance away from him, eat the
damage and keep on tickin'. Astralaser isn't anything too serious as it's
damage isn't very high especialy if you're at my level recommendation. He
also has a linear chain attack that he follows with a sweeping motion in front
of him get behind him to avoid this. Sometimes though he will sweepp it
further and, he has an opening when he does this it's on HIS back right side
take advantage of it. Keep these attacks and means of avoidance in mind and
you will emerge victorious with a Celestial Sword as your prize. It ain't over
yet though.

Long time Tri-Ace fans if you didn't see this coming do me a favor, Make a
fist, now turn it toward your face, then head butt it. Thank you. Now that
that's taken care of it's time for the final battle of the Seraphic Gate!

The Ethereal(Iselia) Queen 2,500,000, 3,000,000, 4,500,000
70,000 EXP 20,000 Fol
Air 100, Fire 100, Earth 100, Aether 100, Water 100
Tri-Emblem

Faesphere 60,000, 72,000, 108,000
0 EXP 0 Fol
Air 100, Fire 100, Earth 100, Aether 100, Water 100

That's not a typing error on my part, get this through your head, She is THE
hardest boss in the ENTIRE game. Not to mention the long time last boss of
every Tri-Ace secret dungeon. Now I hope you're ready for some reading
material. As you have no doubt figured out by now Orbs=bad so stay on top of
them and crush them swiftly or else it's game over. When she casts Pyregeddon
run to the side and run away as fast as possible because it hurts. Seraphic
Law is an odd attack that will either focus totally on one member and totally
kill them or split off causing massive damage party wide, try to make sure
your HP stays high because if you're low and she casts this it's game over.
You can out-range Seraphic Law which is what you need to do if she puts you in
a bad situation. When she casts Voltscourge GET AWAY FROM HER as she is about
to make a gigantic and, rather cool looking, electric sphere appear on top of
a party member that will lingere for a few seconds then disappear, Hydraser
means she's about to put a Geyser underneath one of your characters run like
hell if you see her cast this because it can cause a potential game over if it
hits you. Astrocalypse is a spell that causes explosions dealing massive
damage in random places along the platform, avoid it as best you can. When she
casts Southern Cross GET AWAY FROM HER as shes about to do a spin that
WILL kill you. When she starts casting Undara and looking all weak DO NOT FALL
FOR IT she is going to send out random waves of energy dealing MASSIVE amounts
of damage and likely killing your entire party. Accused effectively Stops your
character and makes him look odd this means that your about to eat A TON of
damage this attack can be avoided or at least reducing the damage to you by
running as far away as possible when she slumps down. Keeping ALL of that in
mind make DAMN sure that you have an ample supply of healing items and
Miraculous Medicines on hand because YOU ARE going to die, it's just a matter
of recovery. Stay on top of the orbs try to pay attention to what she's
casting and mash that damn yellow button and make use of Prudentiae when you
can/need to. Eventually you'll come out victorious! Congratulations my friend
you just completed the Seraphic Gate!

For defeating Capell's ex-girlfriend you get your hands on the REAL
Tri-Emblem. Also Congratulations if you're on Hard/Infinity on your
achievement!

That's all for the walkthrough. Hope you enjoyed this wonderous dungeon as
much as I did.

Okay it's no secret that some of the materials in this game are down right
frustrating to farm for much less even figuring out which enemy drops it. Well
fret no more my friend because I have just the thing for the farming woes.
Those of you with the A Voucher this section will save you money I promise.
I will also include the best places for farming money and gaining levels.

The locations will be listed alphabetically by material followed by the money
and level farming areas.

Amarlista: There are a few spots. "Centipedes" on the Nolaan and Dragonbone
Shrine floors drop them. Order Experts also drop them. However my favorite
place to farm these would have to be from the Flying Swords on the Undead
floor. They seem to drop (for me at least) rather commonly and you can get
some good EXP from doing it.

Atlantis Metal: Pretty much every Gigas in the Gate drops this but the hands
down best place to farm this is on the Graad Woods floor. Simply teleport to
the Dragonbone Shrine floor then teleport back to the Graad Woods floor then
wait for the last Gigas to turn around THEN run up and surpise them. This is
by far the most effective and least time consuming way to farm this rare
metal.

Chalice of Hearts: The Lumper Duke is the lone enemy who holds this item. You
must surprise them to even have a slight chance at obtaining one.

Chameleon Skin: Lumper Kings drop these. However the best floor for farming
these is the Halgita floor because the Green Drogo Chiefs drop these quite
frequently.

Club of Clubs: The Lumper Marquis is the lone enemy that holds this item. You
must surprise them to even have a slight shot at getting one.

Coin of Diamonds: The Lumper Count is your target for this item. As always
surprising them yields the best chance at getting this item.

Crsytalite Metal: This drops from many different sources. However the BEST
place to farm it is certainly the Castle Prevant floor. It drops from the
Order Masters and Crystal Gargoyles quite frequently. Clear out the floor and
reset it using a teleporter and repeat until you have all that you desire.

Dragon Eye: The Lava Gluttons on the Cobasna Timberlands floor drop these.
Simply enter the teleporter at the end of the floor then re etner the
teleporter and surpise the one that is sitting near it. Reapeat the process
until you have enough.

Dragon Fang: The Luce Plains/Wyvern Floor of The gate and the Plodhif Caverns
are the only two places you can find this item. For the Seraphic Gate's
version of the Swordtail Viper you can kill them then jump into the teleporter
and re-enter which yields good results. However I read a strategy on the
boards at GameFaqs that was very effective. Bring Capell and Michelle ONLY
into the Gate, Make sure that Michelle's Astro is at level 2+, run up to where
you can target the snake, connect with her and have her cast Astro. This will
kill the snake and surprise it at the same time making it very effective. To
the author of that strategy please leave a post for me at the boards or send
me an email I would like to give you credit for this.

Another and far more faster method was submitted to me by Sakurayule. Here it
is: Bring in Vic and Michelle only. Michelle casts Lover's Curiass on Vic to
protect her, Vic steals without being able to be harmed until she connects
and succeeds, Michelle proceeds to use Astro after running away and returning
to surprise each snake. (You can run away and re-surprise). Michelle should
be on Wait while you are stealing. Make sure to unequip Vic so that your
target can survive the stealing.

For those of you seeking the Swordtail Viper in the "Real World", The Plodhif
Caverns are your destination. Sakurayule explains this method in great detail:
Once you are end-game, go back into the Caverns, walk the long hall, pass the
3 mini-spiders, and stop at the hill going up. There will be 3 Vipers there,
facing away from you. You must get a surprise attack to get the Dragon Fang
drop. Use a party of Capell and Eugene or Michelle, whichever has a higher
level Astro. Connect, use Astro, and they are Surprise Attacked and dead.
Bingo, 3 chances to get a Dragon Fang with 1 Astro. There are 2 more Vipers
deeper in the Caverns, but exiting and re-entering is more time-efficient.
Racking up 99 Dragon Fangs is ridiculously easy this way; I did it in 4 hours;
In comparison it took me 4 days for 99 Dragon Fangs on the Luce Plains floor
of the SG.

Dragon Meat: This can be farmed from the Inferno Gluttons on the Dragonbone
Shrine floor. Simply enter the teleporter at the end then re-enter the
teleporter on the other side, wait a few seconds then open the door to make
sure you get the jump. Repeat the process until you have enough.

Dragon Skin: Quetzacoatls in Oradian Dunes floor drop these. You really don't
even have to surprise them just kill them. Refresh the area as needed.

Feeble Cloth: Garms on the Graad Woods floor. They drop fairly well even on
without surprise.

Glutton Hide: Lava Gluttons on the Timberlands floor or the Inferno Gluttons
on the Dragonbone Shrine floor are the only options and I've had about the
same luck with both places.

Malus Wood: Alraunes and Tequilos on the Timberlands floor. The sheer amount
of how many of them there actually are is the reason why this floor is the
best.

Mercurius Metal: The Dancing Crossbows on the Castle Prevant floor are by far
the best. They drop them rather frequently.

Pius Wood: Hill Gigas or the Rachnuvus on the first floor. The first floor is
good for earlier farming of it but later on you'll find the Gigas makes this
item much easier to come by while farming the Atlantis Metal.

Placidus Wood: Lumper Dukes are by far the best for this type of wood.

Servant of Jacks: The Lumper Baron is the lone enemy that holds this item. You
must surprise them to even have a slight shot at getting this.

Sword of Spades: The Lumper King is the lone enemy that holds this item. You
must surprise them to even have a slight shot at getting it.

Level farming: After entering the gate for the first time the first 2 floors
are awesome for quickly gaining levels. However the best spot that I
presonally use goes a little something like this. Progress through the Graad
Woods floor then teleport down to the Dragonbone Shrine floor and clear it
out. Teleport back up to the Graad woods floor take out the 3 Gigas then jump
back down to the Dragonbone shrine floor. Repeat this as needed. If you use
EXP+ enchants this will save you a lot of time and hassle as it is very easy
to gain levels quickly using this method. You can also hit the level cap(255)
easily this way.

Fol farming: By far the easiest way to farm up a lot of Fol is to enchant the
highest Fol+ enchant (The one that takes away EXP) and going to the Castle
Prevtant floor and continually killing the 2 mimics near the end of the end of
the level and runing back to the teleporter and refreshing the area over and
over. You can get the Achievement "Filthy Rich" this way in short order.

Just wanted to start this section by saying that this guide would have never
been completed or made possible without the help of the users on Infinite
Undiscovery boards.

Contributors will be listed in alphabetical order.

Amniculus- Provided the most accurate HP Value for Shadow Sigmund before the
guide was released.

Basil_No_Brush- Provided confirmation for Vembert.

BlueEyes_Kaiba- Provided confirmation about Sigmund's Floor.

BROMLEY_89- Provided the map that gives a general breakdown of the gate. As
well as giving me the Boss HP Values for normal some of which did not need to
be changed even after the guide was released. Thanks again Bromley.

richie259- Provided basically everything that I needed from the guide.
Including Doogadoala's HP on Normal, Boss HP Value corrections and many other
things. Thanks again Richie.

Sakurayule-Provided the Chamber of Elements map, Provided the quick reference
detailed map and, provided the entire bestiary for me to cross-reference. As
well as providing the method for quick Dragon Fangs and the location and
method for farming them outside of the Gate. Among many other things.
Thanks again Sakura.

Sega_Sonic- Provided Graad Woods enemy information confirmation.

Split Infinity- Pointed out that Leonid's attacks are actually roman numerals.

Also a BIG thanks goes out to http://www.network-science.de/ascii/ for
providing the best ASCII generator that I have ever used. All ASCII art in
this FAQ was created through their generator.

Just want to say Thanks again for all the help I've received.

Anything that you feel I have left out, missed, forgotten or, otherwise not
added to the guide all together and that you wish for me to add to this guide
please feel free to drop me an e-mail at [email protected] or just
drop by the Infinite Undiscovery boards at GameFAQs and post in my topic or
leave a topic for me.
