Can I get rid of the gathering "thing". Every time I try and get a rabbit or a mouse it takes my vegetables!!! It's very annoying... And if I can, how do I?
Also, are there any more Totems except for the first two that keep away the Bat and Slug?

Yes, just hover over the gatherling with the cursor, hit X to bring up the menu, and you will see the option send home. You can either send it home for the day, or just fire it so it doesnt work for you anymore.
YEs there are more totem statues, there is one for every Sour Pinata. YOu can buy them from Costolot after you gain a few levels after a certain sour appears, or you can get them by taming a sour pinata.
